Check that a candidate drive is M.2 2280 and NVMe, then compare capacity, PCIe generation, performance needs, and price. Lenovo’s PSREF lists PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 5.0 SSD variants and a model-family maximum of 2TB based on Lenovo’s listed offerings. That figure does not establish compatibility for every aftermarket drive or capacity. Real transfer speeds depend on the specific drive and system; an interface’s theoretical maximum is not a real-world performance guarantee.
