To obtain a Fijian IP address, you connect to a VPN server whose location is Fiji. Websites then see an IP address assigned to Fiji instead of your own. The method works only if your provider currently offers a Fiji location, and it does not guarantee that any particular website or streaming service will grant access. Confirm Fiji is still on the provider’s list before you pay, since location lists change.
This guide explains how to get a Fiji IP address, how to confirm the address your sites see, and what the address does and does not change.

What a Fijian IP address actually is
Every device that goes online has a public IP address, and that address is tied to a location in the databases that websites use for geolocation. A VPN routes your traffic through a server run by the provider, so sites see the server’s IP instead of your home or office IP. If the provider lists a server in Fiji, the visible address can be associated with Fiji.

Second, the country linked to an IP address and the physical country where the server sits can differ. ExpressVPN’s explanation of virtual locations describes this case: the registered IP matches the country you selected while the server itself is elsewhere. A provider’s Fiji server may be physically in Fiji or may be a virtual location, and you should check which the provider states.

Step-by-step: how to get a Fiji IP address
- Check that the provider lists Fiji. Open the provider’s current server-location page. NordVPN’s published server-location page lists Fiji at the time of writing. A listing shows the location is advertised. It does not show that connections will be fast or stable.
- Choose a plan and install the app. Pick the app for the device and operating system you will use. Provider apps typically have a location list where you select the country. Exact menu labels and platform support vary by provider, so follow the provider’s own setup guide.
- Select Fiji and connect. In the location list, choose Fiji. If the app offers a specific city or server, any Fiji entry will do for this purpose. Wait until the app reports that the connection is active.
- Verify the public IP. Open a reputable IP lookup site in the same browser or on the same device. Confirm the displayed address is not your usual one and that its reported country is Fiji. Repeat the check after reconnecting, because providers can assign different addresses.
- Test the site you need. Load the target site or service while connected. If it still treats you as outside Fiji, see the troubleshooting section below.
Confirming the address is recognized as Fiji
An IP lookup is the only check you can run yourself, and it shows what that lookup database believes. Use the following checklist to read the result correctly.
- The IP address changed from your normal address after connecting.
- The lookup reports Fiji as the country. Some tools also show a city or region; these are often less precise than the country and may be wrong.
- The same result appears in a second lookup tool. If the two disagree, the site you visit may follow either database.
- The VPN app shows an active connection to a Fiji location at the same moment you run the check.
Choosing a provider: four criteria
Before you subscribe, compare providers on the points below. Public information on price, speed, privacy practices, and reliability was not consistent enough across the sources to support a ranking, so this table lists only what to verify for each provider.

A hardware router can run a VPN configuration, but the router does not supply a Fiji address by itself. You still need a provider that offers a Fiji endpoint, and a lookup tool can only report the address you already have.

A Fiji IP can affect websites that use IP location to decide what to show you. It does not change your physical location, your identity, your account’s registered region, your payment country, or any contract you have signed. Treat it as a network setting, not as residence.

Location-aware websites
Tourism Fiji’s privacy statement says its website may use an IP address to infer a visitor’s location or country of origin. That is one official example of a site doing this. It does not mean every website uses IP location in the same way, or that a different IP will change the content you receive.
Service-specific terms: the Fijian Drua example
Streaming access is the most common reason readers want a Fiji IP, and the terms of the service decide what is allowed. Vodafone Fiji’s terms for Fijian Drua content, which name Vodafone Play as the exclusive streaming partner for the 2026 through 2028 seasons, grant personal, non-commercial viewing within Fiji. Read the terms of the service you plan to use. Terms differ between services and can change.

Local rules and government sites
Public sources reviewed for this guide do not establish a general Fijian law on using VPNs. The MyFiji@Gov terms allow the government to restrict access to its website from particular internet addresses, but those terms cover that one site only. Consumer rules are also relevant: the Telecommunications Authority of Fiji’s consumer-protection guidance requires providers to explain terms simply and avoid misleading representations about service quality, features, and conditions. That guidance does not verify any consumer VPN’s Fiji endpoint or endorse a provider.

When the site still does not accept your Fiji IP
- Confirm the lookup shows Fiji. If it shows another country, reconnect, choose Fiji again, and check whether the app has switched to a different server.
- Try a different Fiji server if the provider offers more than one, since a given address may already be blocked or flagged.
- Clear the browser’s cookies and sign in again after connecting. Existing account sessions can carry earlier location data.
- Check the service’s terms. If access is limited to residents or to a specific country’s payment method, a VPN will not override that rule.
- Contact the VPN provider’s support with the server name, the time of the test, and the IP address shown by the lookup tool.
