How to Move NFTs and Funds from Blur to Another Marketplace

Moving an NFT or cryptocurrency from Blur to another marketplace is normally a wallet operation, not an account-setting change. First determine which wallet or on-chain position actually controls the asset. For a wallet-held NFT, send the token to a destination wallet address that the other marketplace supports, approve the transaction in your wallet, and then connect that receiving wallet to the destination marketplace. Send cryptocurrency through the wallet’s own Send flow, checking the token, network, and receiving address before approval.

Do not assume that an item or balance displayed in Blur is held in a special custodial account, or that changing a marketplace connection transfers ownership. Official wallet guidance explains the general wallet workflow, but no current official Blur documentation establishes a current Blur-specific withdrawal sequence for funds in a Blur balance, loan, or other protocol position. Those positions require instructions for the exact asset type and the live official interface.

What “moving from Blur” actually means

A marketplace is generally an interface for assets controlled by a blockchain wallet. OpenSea’s wallet guidance explains that NFTs and cryptocurrency are stored directly on the blockchain and accessed through a self-custodial wallet. In practical terms, the blockchain records ownership; the marketplace displays and helps you interact with that ownership.

That distinction creates two different jobs:

  • Moving a wallet-held NFT: transfer the token from the wallet that currently owns it to a destination wallet address, then connect that receiving wallet to the other marketplace.
  • Moving wallet-held funds: send the token from the source wallet to the destination address using the wallet’s Send function.
  • Moving a Blur-specific balance or position: follow the current official instructions for that exact balance, loan, collateral, or protocol position. No current official Blur documentation establishes a reliable Blur withdrawal button, timing, fee, or menu path, so none should be assumed.

Listing an NFT, cancelling a listing, revoking a marketplace approval, or disconnecting a site does not by itself transfer ownership or send cryptocurrency. Ownership changes only when the relevant blockchain transaction succeeds.

Identify where each asset is held before you touch anything

Begin with an inventory. Treat every NFT and token separately rather than assuming that everything visible in one marketplace is controlled in the same way.

Wallet-owned NFT

Open the wallet you used with Blur and identify the address and chain shown for the item. Check the token’s ownership on the appropriate chain explorer. The explorer should show the current owner address, collection contract, token identifier, and recent transfer history. If the owner is your wallet, a normal wallet transfer may be possible, subject to any lock or contract rule.

Wallet-held cryptocurrency

Check the wallet’s balance for the exact token and network. A token name can exist on multiple networks, and a destination marketplace may support only selected combinations. Record the source address, token, network, and amount before opening the Send screen.

Blur balance, loan, collateral, or other protocol position

A number shown in a marketplace or lending interface is not automatically the same as a spendable wallet balance. It may represent an offer, loan, collateral position, pending settlement, or another contract state. Official Blur material describes Blur as an NFT marketplace, but no current official instructions establish current withdrawal steps for these special positions. Do not improvise a transfer or send a token to an address merely because a balance appears on screen. Find the current official instructions for the precise position type, or leave it untouched until that information is confirmed.

Confirm the destination marketplace can receive the asset

Before sending, open the destination marketplace with the wallet you intend to use there and check its current support information. Confirm all of the following:

  • The marketplace supports the NFT’s blockchain and collection format.
  • The receiving wallet address is one you control or one explicitly supplied by the destination service.
  • The marketplace accepts the exact cryptocurrency and network you plan to send.
  • The destination account will display assets held by the wallet address you are about to use, rather than by a different account or custodial deposit address.
  • You have a way to verify the transaction on the correct chain explorer after submission.

Never assume that an address is usable for every chain or token simply because it has the expected length or resembles another address you have used. Copy the address from the intended wallet or destination interface, paste it into the source wallet, and compare the complete value. For high-value transfers, verify it again using an independent view of the destination wallet. Do not rely on a screenshot, a message from an alleged support agent, or an address supplied in an unsolicited link.

How to move an NFT to another marketplace

The labels vary between wallets and transfer interfaces, but the transaction has the same essential stages. OpenSea’s transfer guide describes selecting the item, entering the destination address, reviewing the transfer, and approving the wallet signature. It also warns that once the NFT has been sent, the transfer cannot be undone.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Open the source wallet or a trusted transfer interface. Make sure it is connected to the wallet that currently owns the NFT. If the connected address does not match the owner shown on the chain explorer, stop and switch accounts.
  2. Select the exact NFT. Confirm the collection name, token number, chain, and image or metadata. Be careful with similarly named collections and duplicate-looking tokens.
  3. Start the transfer. Use the interface’s transfer or send action, not a listing, offer, sale, or approval action. If you cannot identify a transfer action, consult the wallet’s official documentation rather than guessing.
  4. Enter the destination wallet address. Paste the address of the wallet that will be connected to the other marketplace. Compare the beginning, middle, and end of the pasted address with the intended source. If the interface identifies a network, ensure it matches the NFT’s chain.
  5. Review the transaction details. Check the token, collection, destination address, network, and any network fee shown by the wallet. A marketplace preview is not a substitute for reading the wallet’s final signing screen.
  6. Approve in the wallet. Confirm the transaction or signature only after the details match. Keep the wallet window open until it reports a transaction hash or a clear submission result.
  7. Save the transaction hash. Record the hash and source address. You will use it to check confirmation and troubleshoot if the destination marketplace does not display the item immediately.

Blockchain transfers are not reversible through a marketplace support request. An incorrect address, wrong network, or unintended recipient can permanently put the NFT beyond your control. If the wallet shows an unfamiliar contract request, an unexpected permission, or a destination you did not enter, reject it and investigate before trying again.

How to send funds to the destination marketplace or wallet

Funds move from the wallet that controls them. Use the wallet’s built-in Send flow rather than treating a marketplace account change as a transfer.

  1. Obtain the receiving address from the destination. If the marketplace uses your own connected wallet, use that wallet’s address. If it provides a deposit address, copy it from the current official deposit screen and confirm the token and network shown beside it.
  2. Confirm the exact asset. Select the token you intend to send. Similar names, wrapped versions, and tokens deployed on different networks are not interchangeable unless the destination explicitly supports that form.
  3. Confirm the network. The sending network must be one the destination accepts for that token. Do not select a network merely because it has a lower displayed fee.
  4. Paste and verify the address. Compare the pasted address with the destination record. Malware and clipboard-replacement attacks can substitute an attacker’s address, so verify immediately before signing.
  5. Enter the amount. Leave whatever network fee or wallet reserve the interface requires. Review the final amount and the fee shown by the wallet; no universal fee or settlement time applies to every network.
  6. Submit and approve. Confirm the transaction in the wallet only when the token, network, recipient, and amount are correct. Save the resulting transaction hash.

OpenSea’s wallet guidance supports the general wallet instructions above; those instructions are not evidence of a particular Blur withdrawal control. If the funds appear only as a Blur-specific balance, loan, or collateral position and are not present in the wallet’s spendable balance, stop and locate the official instructions for that position instead of using a normal wallet send.

Verify the transfer on-chain, then connect the receiving wallet

Use the transaction hash to check the appropriate chain explorer. Confirm that the transaction is included on-chain, the status is successful, the NFT or token moved from the expected source address to the intended destination, and the token identifier or amount is correct. A pending transaction is not complete, and a failed transaction did not move the asset even if the marketplace page has changed.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

After confirmation, connect the receiving wallet to the destination marketplace. Connecting does not move anything; it merely lets the marketplace read and interact with assets already controlled by that address. The destination’s indexer may need time to display a newly transferred item. Do not resend an NFT or funds just because the marketplace page has not refreshed. Check the explorer first, then follow the destination marketplace’s official refresh or support process if the chain shows a successful transfer.

When an NFT cannot be transferred

An NFT can be visible in a wallet and still be non-transferable. OpenSea’s transfer guidance identifies several reasons an item may be locked:

  • Staked: the token is deposited in a staking contract and must be unstaked under that contract’s rules.
  • Collateralized: the token secures a loan and may remain locked until the debt or position is resolved.
  • Rented: a rental arrangement can restrict transfers while the rental state is active.
  • Soulbound: the token’s contract is designed not to permit transfers.
  • Collection-contract restriction: the contract itself may reject transfers or impose another condition.

Read the wallet error and inspect the token’s contract activity on the chain explorer. Do not repeatedly approve failed transactions or sign an unrelated contract call in an attempt to bypass a restriction. If the token is staked, rented, or used as collateral, use the responsible contract’s official exit or repayment process. A soulbound or contract-restricted token may not be movable at all.

What to do when funds or NFTs appear “stuck”

The transaction is still pending

Check the hash on the correct explorer and wait for the network to process it. Do not submit a duplicate transfer unless the wallet or network documentation clearly explains that the original was replaced or cancelled. A marketplace page can lag behind the chain.

The transaction failed

Read the explorer’s status and the wallet’s error. A failed transaction did not complete ownership transfer. Check whether the NFT is locked, whether the wallet is on the correct network, and whether the wallet can cover the network fee. Correct the underlying issue before retrying.

The transaction succeeded but the destination does not show the asset

Compare the destination address, chain, contract, token identifier, or token amount shown on the explorer with the destination marketplace’s supported formats. Confirm that the connected marketplace wallet is exactly the recipient address. If those details match, allow for indexing and use the destination’s official support channel; do not send a second copy.

The asset went to the wrong address or network

Blockchain transfers generally cannot be reversed by the sender. If the destination is another wallet you control, import or connect that wallet through its official software and verify the asset on-chain. If the address is not yours, recovery depends on the recipient and the network; a marketplace cannot guarantee retrieval.

The balance is visible in Blur but absent from the wallet

Treat this as a possible protocol or marketplace position, not a normal wallet balance. Do not guess a withdrawal method. Identify the exact position type and consult current official Blur documentation for that type before signing anything.

Security rules for the entire move

  • Protect the secret recovery phrase. OpenSea’s safety guidance says never to share it. No legitimate marketplace support process needs you to type it into a web form, chat, or screen-share session.
  • Use official wallet software. Download or open it through the wallet maker’s verified channel, and check the domain before connecting.
  • Read every signing screen. A transfer approval should identify the expected asset and recipient. Reject a request that asks for an unrelated approval, unlimited spending permission, or an unfamiliar contract interaction.
  • Use a hardware wallet if appropriate. OpenSea describes hardware wallets as an optional additional security layer. A hardware wallet does not move an NFT or funds by itself; you still confirm the transaction on the device, and it must support the relevant assets and chains. No particular model is required for this workflow.
  • Separate testing from high-value transfers. If the destination supports it and the circumstances justify it, verify the address and network with a small transaction before sending a larger amount. A test does not make an incompatible network safe, so perform the same token and chain checks first.
  • Keep records. Save the source address, destination address, token or NFT identifier, chain, amount, and transaction hash. These details are more useful to legitimate support than screenshots alone.

Decision checklist: wallet transfer or special-position withdrawal?

What you see Likely action What must be confirmed
NFT is owned by your connected wallet on the chain explorer Use a wallet or trusted transfer interface to send it to the destination wallet Destination address, supported chain, token identity, lock status, and final wallet signature
Cryptocurrency appears in the wallet’s spendable balance Use the wallet’s Send function Receiving address, exact token, accepted network, amount, and fee shown before approval
Balance appears only inside a Blur, loan, collateral, or other protocol screen Do not use a normal wallet send until the position is exited according to official instructions Exact position type and current official withdrawal or repayment procedure
Explorer shows success but marketplace display is missing Connect the recipient wallet and wait for indexing, then contact destination support if needed Recipient address, chain, contract, token identifier or amount, and transaction status

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Changing the connected marketplace account and assuming ownership moved.
  • Sending to an address copied from an old transaction, chat message, or unverified page.
  • Choosing a network based only on fee or speed without checking destination support.
  • Confusing a listing cancellation or approval revocation with an NFT transfer.
  • Assuming every displayed NFT is transferable despite staking, lending, rental, soulbound, or contract restrictions.
  • Entering a recovery phrase into a support page or giving it to someone who claims to be helping.
  • Resending while the first transaction is pending or while the destination indexer is still updating.

The safe sequence is consistent: establish who controls the asset, verify the destination’s chain and token support, send from the controlling wallet or follow the documented protocol exit for a special position, approve only the transaction you have checked, and verify the result by transaction hash.
