Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

To move money out, use the cash-out option that provider actually offers—such as a bank off-ramp, an ATM withdrawal, or a transfer through an exchange or wallet. There is no universal workflow: supported assets, networks, fees, timing, and availability depend on the provider, your location, and your account.
How to fund your card
Start in the provider’s own app or dashboard; do not send funds using an address or route copied from an unrelated service. The exact funding model matters. Decaf’s instructions use Card > Add Funds, Cardtonic’s use USD Wallet > Add Money, and Binance’s Global Card uses a Funding Account. Some cards spend from a wallet balance without a separate card top-up, while others require moving assets into a specific account.

- Find the funding screen. Check whether the destination is the card itself, a linked wallet, or a collateral or funding account. Cardtonic says its virtual dollar card spends from the available USD Wallet balance; Binance says direct third-party top-up to its Global Card is unsupported and directs users to account collateral. Cardtonic’s stablecoin deposit guide and Binance’s Global Card instructions describe those product-specific routes.
- Select a supported stablecoin and network. A token name alone is not enough: the receiving provider must support both the asset and the blockchain network you choose. MetaMask Card’s supported combinations can vary by network and state. Check the current in-app choices or the provider’s help page before sending.
- Use the deposit route generated by the provider. For a transfer from an external wallet, copy the displayed address or scan the provider’s QR code, then verify it before confirming. Cardtonic warns that an unsupported token or wrong network may mean funds are lost or not credited.
- Review the transfer details before confirming. Check the minimum, deposit fee, network, destination, and amount. Cardtonic says its applicable minimum and deposit fee are shown before the deposit. If the provider requires gas, make sure you have the required balance: MetaMask says card transactions require gas deducted from the same token being spent, so verify its current supported assets and networks.
- Wait for the provider’s confirmation or balance update. Decaf says an in-app USDC add-funds transfer should appear in a few minutes. Cardtonic says deposits update after the required blockchain confirmations, with timing dependent on network conditions. Do not resend simply because the first transfer has not appeared immediately; first check the transaction status and the provider’s deposit screen.
These are examples, not instructions that apply to every card. Follow the live steps shown by your card provider, and do not assume that a card needs a separate top-up.
How to move money out
“Cash out” can mean different things. A card may offer a bank payout, permit an ATM withdrawal, or leave you to transfer the stablecoin to an exchange, neobank, or wallet and convert it there. Check which route is available in your account before moving funds.

Bank payout through an off-ramp
Plasma One says users can send funds to a bank through off-ramps in its app. Available payout rails depend on region, and partner fees may apply; the app displays applicable fees before confirmation. Check the destination account, payout currency, rail, limits, fees, and estimated settlement time before approving.
Cash withdrawal at an ATM
Coinbase says its card can be used to withdraw cash at ATMs without a Coinbase ATM fee, though the ATM operator may charge one. Coinbase also says crypto is automatically converted into USD for purchases and ATM withdrawals. These are Coinbase-specific terms, not a general promise about stablecoin cards.

Transfer to an exchange, neobank, or wallet
Circle says individual users can access USDC through exchanges, neobanks, and digital wallets. That does not mean an individual can redeem USDC directly through Circle Mint: Circle describes Mint as institution-only. Confirm that the receiving service accepts the asset and network you intend to use, and review its conversion and withdrawal terms.

The total cost can include more than one fee. Depending on the route, costs may arise when buying or converting stablecoins, sending a blockchain transaction, converting at the card provider, withdrawing to a bank, or using an ATM. A provider’s claim that one step is free does not make the entire route free.

- Material: Genuine Leather
- Deposit and network costs: Cardtonic says its deposit fee and minimum are displayed before a deposit. MetaMask says card transactions require gas, deducted from the same token being spent.
- Conversion costs: Coinbase reports no Coinbase card transaction fee, but says a spread may apply when it buys, sells, or trades crypto. Its ATM guidance separately notes that an ATM operator may charge.
- Bank and ATM costs: Plasma One says partner bank-withdrawal fees, where applicable, appear in-app. An ATM operator may impose a separate charge even where the card provider does not.
- Confirmation and settlement time: A blockchain deposit can depend on network activity and the required confirmations. Decaf describes its in-app USDC loading as taking a few minutes, but that is a product-specific expectation rather than a guarantee for other routes.
Before sending, compare the token, chain, destination, and amount with the provider’s instructions. Before withdrawing, check the destination details, local currency, payout rail or network, limits, fees, and estimated settlement. If a transfer is pending, use the provider’s transaction-status or support process rather than creating a duplicate transfer.
Availability, custody, and tax considerations
Card features can be limited by country, state, regulation, or account eligibility. Coinbase’s cited card page lists availability in U.S. states except Hawaii; MetaMask says supported card networks vary by state and network; Plasma One says geographic, regulatory, and other eligibility limits apply and may change. Check the provider’s current terms and what your account shows rather than assuming a card or cash-out route is available worldwide.

Coinbase notes that spending crypto can have tax implications because a card purchase is similar to selling crypto. Its help page says spending USDC at par with USD should not result in a taxable gain or loss, while advising users to consult a tax adviser. That statement is specific to Coinbase’s guidance; tax treatment depends on your circumstances and jurisdiction.

What to compare before choosing a funding or cash-out route
