You can carry your EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Team club from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S, by using the same EA Account and the corresponding platform account. A PlayStation-to-Xbox or Xbox-to-PlayStation move is not supported, and modes such as Career, Clubs and Online Seasons remain tied to the original console family.
The supported ways to move FC 27 progress
EA’s FC 27 account and dual-entitlement guidance separates a console upgrade within one platform family from a cross-platform migration. The first is supported for Ultimate Team; the second is not.

On PlayStation, EA states that cross-progression is available only in Ultimate Team. The supported move is therefore a same-family console upgrade, not a way to merge two separate clubs or change the platform on which a club is stored.

When the destination console uses the same EA Account within the same platform family, EA’s FC 27 dual-entitlement FAQ lists the following Ultimate Team data as transferable:

This is a progression handoff between console generations. It does not create a second independent copy that can be developed separately on both generations. Treat the same EA Account and platform family as the identity of the club you are opening on the new console.
Modes that stay on the original console family
The transfer rules do not apply to every FC 27 mode. EA says progression in the following modes is console-specific:
- Online Seasons.
- Co-op Seasons.
- Pro Career.
- Manager Career.
- Clubs.
- Other non-Ultimate-Team modes with console-specific progression.
A successful Ultimate Team move therefore does not bring your Career saves, Clubs progression or Seasons records to the destination console. If those modes matter to you, keep access to the old console and its relevant game installation rather than assuming that the upgrade will reproduce them.
Requirements to check before you move
Keep the EA Account that owns the club
Do not create a new EA Account for the destination console. The existing club, entitlements and Ultimate Team history are associated with the EA Account you used on the original console. The destination console must sign in through the PlayStation Network or Xbox account already linked to that EA Account.
Confirm the platform account link
Before downloading FC 27, verify which PlayStation Network or Xbox account is connected to your EA Account. A console can be working normally while the wrong platform identity is selected, especially if several people use the device or if an old account was linked years ago. Sign in with the account that owned the original FC 27 club.

Install the correct destination-console version
Install the FC 27 edition made for the destination hardware. EA’s dual-entitlement FAQ says physical and digital purchases qualify for the corresponding-generation upgrade, subject to the platform’s conditions. A physical upgrade requires a console with a disc drive, because the disc is needed to verify ownership. A disc-free console cannot validate a physical copy in the same way.
Understand what “dual entitlement” does
Dual entitlement concerns access to the corresponding-generation game version; it does not turn unsupported modes into cross-platform saves. It also does not permit a PlayStation club to become an Xbox club. The entitlement and the progression rules are separate checks.
Step-by-step: move from PS4 to PS5
- Leave the original EA Account unchanged. Identify the EA Account currently used by FC 27 on PS4. Do not make a replacement account for the PS5.
- Use the same PlayStation Network account. Add or sign in to the PS5 with the PlayStation Network account linked to that EA Account.
- Install FC 27 for PS5. Download the digital PS5 version or insert the qualifying physical disc into a PS5 model with a disc drive. Follow the console’s upgrade and ownership prompts.
- Launch the game and open Ultimate Team. Sign in when prompted. With the same EA Account and PlayStation identity, the existing club and supported Ultimate Team content should load.
- Check the club before changing account settings. Confirm that your players, items, coins, FC Points, record and leaderboard information are present. Do not unlink accounts simply because the first screen does not show the expected club.
The same procedure works in reverse when returning from PS5 to PS4: use the same EA Account and PlayStation Network account, install the PS4 version, then open Ultimate Team. The generation changes; the platform family does not.
Step-by-step: move from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S
- Keep the original EA Account. The account that owns your Xbox One FC 27 club must remain the account used on the new console.
- Sign in with the linked Xbox account. Use the same Microsoft/Xbox identity that was connected to the EA Account on Xbox One.
- Install the Series X|S version. Download the digital version or use the qualifying physical purchase. For a physical copy, the destination console must include a disc drive.
- Open Ultimate Team. Start FC 27 and enter Ultimate Team after the EA Account sign-in completes. The supported club data should be available on the Series X|S console.
- Verify the important balances and history. Check players, items, coins, FC Points, match records and leaderboard placement before deleting anything from the old console.
Moving back from Xbox Series X|S to Xbox One follows the same account and platform-family requirements, using the Xbox One edition on the older hardware.
What to do if the Web App or Companion App shows the wrong club
The Web App and Companion App can display a platform persona that is not the one you intend to use. EA’s account-unlinking guidance documents a platform selector in the app settings.

- Open the Web App or Companion App.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Change next to the platform or active-platform control.
- Choose the PlayStation or Xbox persona that belongs to the console family you are using.
- Return to Ultimate Team and confirm that the selected club is the expected one.
Use this platform control before attempting any account unlinking. Selecting the correct persona is an account-view change; unlinking is a relationship change with consequences for access and entitlements.

Why unlinking is not a transfer method
Unlinking a platform account from one EA Account and attaching it to another does not move FC 27 progress. EA’s warning is explicit: “When you unlink a platform account from your EA Account, you can link it to another EA Account, but your game progress won’t transfer over.”
EA also warns that unlinking can affect access to:
- Game progress.
- Downloadable content and memberships.
- Previous drops and rewards.
- In-game purchases.
- Web App and Companion App access for FC players.
Entitlements such as points and items can remain associated with the EA Account to which the platform was first linked, leaving the newly connected account without the history you expected. If you are unsure which EA Account is linked, recover or verify that account first. Do not test possible account combinations by repeatedly unlinking and relinking.
PlayStation-to-Xbox and Xbox-to-PlayStation requests
There is no supported procedure for moving an Ultimate Team club from PlayStation to Xbox or from Xbox to PlayStation. The same email address, the same gamer identity or ownership of the same copy of FC 27 does not change that platform-family restriction.
Buying the destination version, signing into the destination console and opening Ultimate Team will not import the original cross-family club. Starting over on the new platform is the available route if you choose to change families. Do not spend coins or FC Points on the assumption that a later account link will merge the two clubs; EA’s rules do not provide that merge.

Release date, editions and physical-copy details
EA’s official FC 27 dual-entitlement FAQ lists 25 September 2026 as the release date for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The console-generation transfer rules in this guide apply to the PlayStation and Xbox pairs documented by EA.
For a digital purchase, sign in to the destination console with the purchasing platform account and install the corresponding-generation entitlement. For a physical purchase, the disc-drive requirement matters: the qualifying disc must be usable by the destination console. A disc-free model cannot provide the physical ownership check required for that upgrade.
Edition naming, store availability and upgrade prompts can vary by platform and region. If the destination store does not show the expected version, check the platform account, the edition you purchased and whether the console meets the physical-disc condition before changing EA account links.
Troubleshooting when the club does not appear
1. Confirm the platform family
First identify whether the move is PS4-to-PS5, PS5-to-PS4, Xbox One-to-Series X|S or the reverse. If it is PlayStation-to-Xbox or Xbox-to-PlayStation, the missing club is a platform-policy limitation rather than a loading error.

2. Check the EA Account, not just the console profile
Sign out only after recording which EA Account was used on the original console. A different email address can represent a different EA Account even when the console profile appears similar. The destination must use the account that owns the original club.

3. Check the linked platform identity
On PlayStation, verify the PlayStation Network account. On Xbox, verify the Xbox account. If the household has multiple profiles, switching to the correct profile can resolve an apparently empty Ultimate Team.
4. Verify the game version and ownership
Make sure the destination installation is the intended PS4, PS5, Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S version. For a disc purchase, make sure the console has a disc drive and that the qualifying disc is available for the ownership check.
5. Check the active persona in the apps
If the Web App or Companion App shows another platform persona, use Settings > Change to select the intended platform. This is safer than unlinking.

6. Do not unlink while troubleshooting
Unlinking can remove access to progress, purchases, rewards and FC app features, and it does not transfer the club. If the account relationship is unclear, contact EA Help with the original platform and EA Account details instead of experimenting with relinks.
7. Allow for ordinary sign-in and installation checks
Complete the destination console’s game installation, updates and EA sign-in before judging the transfer. Open Ultimate Team from the fully installed destination version, not from a partially installed launch screen.

Before you sell or reset the old console
- Open Ultimate Team on the destination console and verify the club.
- Check your players, items, coins, FC Points, match record and leaderboard information.
- Confirm that the Web App or Companion App points to the intended platform persona.
- Save any Career, Clubs or Seasons progress you still need on the old console, because those modes are not included in the Ultimate Team move.
- Keep the EA Account credentials and the linked platform account available for future sign-ins.
- Only after these checks should you factory-reset, sell or give away the old console.
The safe rule is simple: upgrade within the same console family, keep the same EA Account and use the matching platform identity. That preserves the supported Ultimate Team progression; changing platform families or unlinking accounts does not.
