You can import a playlist from another music service into YouTube Music using its built-in transfer flow, or use a third-party service when you need a different supported service pairing or ongoing sync. A transfer copies playlist information by matching songs in the destination catalogue; it does not move audio files, guarantee every Tamil track will match, or turn the playlist into a live mirror. If by “loop” you mean repeating a song or playlist during playback, that is a separate player control—the transfer instructions below do not establish where to find it.
First, clarify what “switch a playlist loop” means
There are two different tasks readers may mean by “loop”:

- Move or sync a playlist: copy its track list from one music service to another. This is what the transfer methods below cover.
- Repeat playback: replay one track or the whole playlist in a music player. A playlist transfer does not change repeat settings. The sources covered here do not document the current repeat controls, so check the destination player’s current help for repeat-one or repeat-playlist instructions.
Playlist migration is not a way to move the audio files themselves. Services match playlist entries to items in their own catalogues, and some tracks may be unavailable or matched to a different release.

YouTube Music documents an in-app flow for importing playlists from other services. The labels below are from Google’s help page; menus can change, so consult Google’s current transfer instructions if your app differs.

- Open the YouTube Music app and tap your profile icon.
- Go to Settings > Privacy & data > Transfer playlists from other apps.
- Start the transfer. Sign in to the external service and grant the requested access.
- Select the playlists you want to import, then choose Transfer to YouTube Music.
- Authorize the Google account when prompted. Find the imported playlists in your YouTube Music library.
The source playlist stays in the original service. A one-time import does not automatically carry over later edits, and Google says larger libraries can take longer while processing in the background. Google also says podcasts cannot be imported or exported through this workflow, and some songs may not be available in the destination catalogue.
Choose a transfer method for other service pairings
If YouTube Music’s built-in import does not cover your direction of travel, a third-party service may support the source-and-destination pair. Google lists Soundiiz and TuneMyMusic as examples, but says third-party providers are not guaranteed by Google; being listed is not evidence of a formal relationship. Check that the exact services you use are supported and review the provider’s current account, plan, and transfer limits before starting.

Transfer once or keep playlists synchronized?
Choose a one-time transfer to make a copy
A standard transfer creates a playlist in the destination service while leaving the original in place. It is suitable when you are switching services or want a separate copy. If you later add, remove, or reorder tracks in the source, do not assume those changes will appear in the copied playlist.

Choose synchronization when later edits should carry over
Synchronization is a separate feature advertised by Soundiiz and TuneMyMusic. Check how the chosen service handles updates and whether the exact pairing and account plan are eligible. A sync feature is not the same as playback looping, and the available sources do not establish that every kind of playlist change will be mirrored in every pairing.

A successful playlist transfer does not prove that every entry is the same recording. Soundiiz says its matching can use metadata such as title, artist, album, duration, and sometimes ISRC. It identifies destination availability, country restrictions, metadata differences, alternate versions or remasters, and missing identifiers as reasons for missing or incorrect matches. It says unmatched items are surfaced for review; Google also warns that some songs may not be available.

No Tamil-specific transfer success rate or claim about transliteration accuracy is established by these sources. As a practical check, compare the resulting playlist with the original, paying particular attention to artist, Tamil or transliterated title, album, language, and version. Correct a missing track manually by searching the destination catalogue and checking the selected recording before you rely on the imported list.
Before you authorize a transfer
- Confirm the direction: Google’s documented flow imports from another app into YouTube Music. Third-party routes depend on the specific source-and-destination combination.
- Decide whether you need a copy or ongoing sync: a one-time transfer will not automatically preserve later edits.
- Check limits and access: review current playlist or track limits and whether the service requires access to both accounts or an active subscription.
- Understand permissions: review the authorization screen and grant only the access needed for the transfer you intend to make.
- Plan to inspect matches: catalogue differences and regional availability can leave songs unmatched or select a different release.
