You can recreate a Gyre-powered 24/7 YouTube workflow in OneStream Live, but the documented process is a new setup—not a one-click transfer. Prepare your original video files and broadcast details, choose OneStream’s dedicated 24/7 feature or an event-based route, then verify the new broadcast in YouTube before retiring Gyre. OneStream’s dedicated 24/7 feature is YouTube-only, requires Enterprise, and has a 30-day maximum run.
What moves—and what you must prepare
Gyre describes its service as sending prerecorded video to YouTube and other RTMP destinations: the destination issues the stream key, and Gyre forwards the stream from its server. OneStream documents ways to create a new 24/7 broadcast or connect to a YouTube event, but the reviewed documentation does not establish a direct Gyre-to-OneStream transfer. Gyre’s description of streaming prerecorded video explains its RTMP model.

Before changing services, assemble the materials and details you will need to configure the replacement. Do not assume that a Gyre playlist, media library, event URL, historical stream, or analytics will carry over.

- Record the YouTube channel and current watch URL, along with the stream title, description, thumbnail, privacy and audience settings, and schedule.
- Make the original video files available. OneStream’s prerecorded-stream documentation lists device, OneStream storage, and cloud storage as media sources; it does not document importing files or playlists from Gyre. See OneStream Live’s prerecorded-streaming documentation.
- Write down the current playlist order and check that you have the correct files, audio, and durations. Rebuild and verify the sequence in the destination interface.
These checks help you reproduce the broadcast, but they do not guarantee the same YouTube event or URL.

Choose a OneStream setup route
OneStream documents three relevant routes. Use its dedicated 24/7 flow when you need that feature; use an existing-event or custom-RTMP workflow when you are setting up around a YouTube event. These are distinct workflows, and the documentation does not promise that either event-based route preserves a Gyre event or URL.
| Route | What it is for | Key considerations |
|---|---|---|
| Native 24/7 | OneStream’s dedicated continuous-stream feature. | YouTube only; Enterprise plan required; a scheduled run can be up to 30 days. |
| Existing YouTube event | Connect OneStream to an event already created on YouTube, then add video and review event details. | The instructions describe selecting an existing event; they do not establish that a Gyre event or its URL will remain reusable. |
| Custom RTMP | Send video to a YouTube event using that event’s RTMP URL and stream key. | You must enter the destination credentials in OneStream. The cited guide’s advanced settings are examples, not universal requirements. |
Set up OneStream’s dedicated 24/7 feature
OneStream’s help article, last updated September 3, 2026, states that 24/7 streaming is exclusive to YouTube, requires Enterprise, and allows a maximum duration of 30 days. Its web workflow is to create a 24-hour stream, add media, choose the YouTube channel, enter broadcast details, and schedule it. See OneStream’s 24/7 setup instructions for the current interface.

- Add the video files from your device, OneStream storage, or available cloud storage, as supported by the interface.
- Select the YouTube channel and enter the broadcast details. Review the title, description, thumbnail, and privacy settings against the information you recorded.
- Choose to start immediately or schedule for later, then set the duration in days. Keep the 30-day maximum in mind.
- Review the media sequence and broadcast settings, then schedule the stream.
Check the actual playback and YouTube event details after scheduling. The documentation describes the setup flow, but does not establish playlist import from Gyre or a no-interruption switchover.
Use an existing YouTube event or custom RTMP
Connect to an existing event
OneStream’s existing-event guide, last updated September 15, 2026, describes connecting a YouTube channel, selecting a streaming method, choosing Existing Event, selecting the event, adding video, reviewing the title, description, thumbnail, privacy and schedule, and scheduling the broadcast. Follow the existing-event instructions. Selecting an event in this workflow is not evidence that your Gyre event or URL can be transferred or reused.

- Create or open the YouTube event you intend to use, then copy its RTMP URL and stream key from YouTube.
- In OneStream, add a Custom RTMP destination and enter the event’s RTMP URL and stream key.
- Connect the destination, add the video, and review the broadcast and schedule details before starting.
- If you need advanced settings, OneStream’s guide gives example values of video bitrate 3500, keyframes 2, audio 128, and 30/60 FPS. These are the guide’s suggested configuration, not a universal requirement or a guarantee for every source video or channel.
Use OneStream’s custom-RTMP guide for its documented steps. The materials reviewed do not settle whether you must rotate a key after leaving Gyre; use the credentials for the YouTube event you are configuring and consult the current YouTube and OneStream interfaces if access or connection fails.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Verify the replacement before closing the old workflow
There is no documented automatic handoff between Gyre and OneStream, so treat verification as a separate step rather than assuming that scheduling alone preserves the old broadcast.

- Confirm that the selected YouTube channel and event are the ones you intend to use.
- Review the title, description, thumbnail, privacy, audience settings, and schedule in YouTube’s control room.
- Check that the correct videos are present in the intended order and that playback, audio, and duration look right.
- Confirm the viewer-facing playback and event URL you plan to share. Do not assume it matches the previous URL.
- Retire the Gyre workflow only after you have confirmed the replacement’s setup and understand the transition timing for your channel and event.
The documentation reviewed does not specify whether simultaneous service streams are appropriate for a particular channel or event, or promise uninterrupted continuity. Avoid treating a test or scheduled broadcast as proof of a seamless service-to-service handoff.
Plan around the 30-day limit
OneStream’s documented native 24/7 run has a maximum duration of 30 days. The help article does not say that a run automatically renews, so set a reminder well before the scheduled end date to inspect the stream and arrange the next run if needed. Confirm the current account interface and plan terms when you configure or renew it.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you would rather not keep a streaming computer or home connection running, StreamNeo is another way to loop uploaded videos to YouTube from the cloud: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It does not transfer Gyre media or events automatically.
Quick Recap
- Nothing has to stay on at home; the stream runs from the cloud.
- Uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot rather than quality tiers.
- StreamNeo can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream.
- The first day is free with no card required.
- Monthly: $9.99 per month.
