Set up an alert for a rebate page
- Find the page with the actual offer terms. Use the official retailer, manufacturer, or rebate administrator page—not just a product listing or a general cashback page. If several pages describe the offer, prioritize the page that gives the dates, rebate amount, eligibility rules, and claim instructions.

Choose the kind of alert you actually need
“Rebate alert” can mean several different things. A page monitor watches content on a specified page; shopping and browser tools may instead watch cashback availability, a product’s price, or stock. Those alerts answer different questions.

Chrome for product-price tracking
Google Chrome Help documents product price tracking and settings for price-tracking email notifications. This is a product-price feature, not general monitoring of rebate pages.

Build a custom change-checking workflow
If you need to automate monitoring rather than use a page-change service, the basic workflow is to capture the official offer page on a schedule, compare each result with the previous one, and notify yourself when the relevant content differs. A screenshot API supplies captures; it does not, by itself, schedule checks, compare changes, or send alerts. Those parts require your own automation or a separate monitoring service.
- Watch the official page and, if possible, compare only the offer area rather than the whole page.
- Retain the timestamp and previous version so you can inspect what changed.

- Do not treat a missed or delayed notification as proof that the terms stayed the same; revisit the official page before acting.
