Prepare a CSV or JSON file
In Distill, each monitor tracks a webpage at its own URL. For a straightforward batch, make a CSV with one monitor per row and the required Name and URL columns:

Status page,https://status.example.comGive each entry a useful name so you can identify it in the Watchlist. The import guide also allows optional labels and content type. CSV is the quick route for basic monitor data; choose JSON when you need to preserve fuller configurations, including selectors, conditions, schedules, and settings. Import the CSV for basic URL monitoring, or import JSON if the monitors need their fuller configurations.

Review the import result before relying on the monitors. Confirm that each intended page appears with the right name and URL.

The import guide documents bulk URL import; it does not establish a fixed maximum batch size. Check the current import flow and documentation if you are preparing an unusually large file.

Review and manage monitors in the Watchlist
The Watchlist brings your monitors together. Open it after importing to check that the entries are present, then select one or several monitors to expose the available bulk actions. Distill documents batch changes to device and configuration settings, which can be useful when a group should share a check location or monitoring setup. Choose local or cloud checks
Importing several URLs does not itself decide where checks run. Local and cloud monitors have different availability requirements:

| Cloud monitor | Distill’s servers | No | Checks can continue independently while your device is off. |
Select the device deliberately for each monitor or group, particularly when using batch changes: changing the device setting for several entries can affect how their checks run. The details are in Distill’s Local Monitor vs. Cloud Monitor guide.

Handle pages that load late
If a monitored page populates its content after the initial load, the extracted content may not yet be ready when Distill checks it. Increase the extraction delay in that monitor’s configuration, then verify that the expected page content is being captured. Distill describes extraction delay and related options in Config and Advanced Options.
