To get alerts about GST portal updates with Distill.io, add the official GSTN or CBIC page you need, choose the whole page or the specific updates section, select a local or cloud monitor, and configure an available check schedule and alert method. A Distill alert tells you that page content changed; it does not explain the legal effect of the change or guarantee that every update will be detected.
Choose the right official GST update source
GSTN portal advisories and CBIC notifications or circulars are separate update streams. Decide what you need to follow before setting up a monitor.

- GSTN taxpayer news and advisories: The GSTN self-service portal publishes dated taxpayer news and advisory items. Monitor the listing to spot new entries, or an individual advisory page if you want to watch for changes to that item. [c004]

The National Portal of India describes the GST website as covering GST law, registration, payments, user services, and departmental activities. That breadth makes it important to choose a specific page for the update you care about; monitoring one page is not a comprehensive feed of all GST law or administration changes. [c005]

Set up a Distill monitor

Understand alerts, schedules, and limitations
- An alert is not a legal interpretation. It signals a page change. Read the underlying official advisory, notification, circular, or other relevant source to determine what it says and whether it applies to you. [c001] [c004]

No checks appear while your computer is off

Unrelated changes trigger alerts
Edit the monitor and select only the updates region with Monitor parts of page, then preview the selection. If the entire listing is relevant, keep full-page monitoring and use the change history to understand which page elements are changing. [c002]

Open the official page and check whether its layout, navigation, or content has changed. Re-select the relevant page region, save the monitor, and review subsequent history entries to confirm the capture is aligned with the current page. [c002]

You do not receive the expected kind of alert or schedule
