First check whether the native consoles already meet your needs: App Store Connect handles Apple reviews, while Google Play Console includes review filters, rating trends, and analysis. A unified tool can bring cross-store monitoring and team replies together, but it does not make the stores’ rating metrics or controls identical.
What a unified app review dashboard does
A unified dashboard connects to your developer accounts and brings reviews from both stores into one interface. Depending on the service, your team may be able to view new feedback, filter it, track trends, and reply without switching consoles. Check that the tool supports both App Store Connect and Google Play Console—and all the apps and territories you manage—before relying on it.

For example, BoostOps advertises connecting both platforms so teams can view and reply to reviews in one place. That is a vendor claim, not an independent feature assessment; confirm the current workflow and limitations with the vendor before choosing it: BoostOps app review management.

What you can monitor in each store’s native console
App Store Connect
Apple describes ratings on a one-to-five-star scale and written reviews for iOS, macOS, and visionOS apps; tvOS apps do not support written reviews. Apple also points developers to the App Store Connect API to retrieve customer reviews and manage responses. See Apple’s ratings and reviews overview.

Google Play Console
Google Play Console lets you filter or sort reviews by date, language, reply status, rating, app version, and device, and search review text. Its ratings view can break trends down by country or region, language, app version, Android version, device type, device model, and operator. You can select date and aggregation ranges and download chart data. Google also provides review themes and benchmarks; its review-summary feature applies to English reviews and needs enough similar reviews across more than one theme or topic. See Google Play Console’s ratings and reviews help and its app statistics help.
How to choose a dashboard for your team
Use this checklist when evaluating a unified tool. Do not assume that a feature shown in a demo covers every store, app, or account setup.

- Store and app coverage: Confirm explicit support for App Store Connect and Google Play Console, then verify that every app and territory you need is included.
- Read-and-reply workflow: Check whether staff can view, filter, assign, and respond from the same interface. Ask about platform-specific reply restrictions and required account permissions.
- Monitoring and analysis: Look for alerts, rating trends, historical data, review themes, exports, and portfolio-level views. Compare these with Google Play Console’s native filters and reporting before paying for overlapping capabilities.
- Metric definitions: Find out whether the dashboard displays the current store-facing rating, an average for a selected period, or a lifetime average. Google says its displayed Play rating is weighted toward recent ratings, while the lifetime average is separate. Make the definition and time window visible in any cross-store report: Google’s ratings and reviews guidance.
- Access and setup: Ask how the service connects to developer accounts and which permissions it requests. Review the setup against your organization’s access and security requirements.
- Current limits and cost: Verify plan pricing, app-count limits, history retention, and reply limits with the provider. These details can change and are not established for the market as a whole.
Keep cross-store ratings comparable
A combined screen can make reviews easier to monitor, but a single rating number can conceal differences in how the stores define and display ratings. Google states that the rating shown on Play is weighted toward recent ratings; it is not the same as the lifetime average. When comparing stores, label each figure with its source, time window, and definition rather than treating all ratings as equivalent.
Google’s product page says that responding to a negative review can increase that review’s rating by an average of +0.7. The page does not provide a publication year or study methodology alongside the claim, so treat it as Google’s undated statement—not as a general causal estimate of what your team should expect: Google Play’s reviews product page.

When the native consoles are enough
If one person manages a small number of apps and switching between consoles is not a problem, the native tools may be sufficient. App Store Connect provides Apple’s review and response workflow; Google Play Console offers detailed review filters, rating breakdowns, chart downloads, and review analysis. A third-party dashboard is most useful when the value of a shared cross-store view or team workflow outweighs the setup, permissions, and cost of another service.
