Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteTo monitor a website only during business hours, set both the days and the daily time window when checks may run, then verify the schedule’s timezone. For example, choose Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A schedule may run in a service’s cloud or on your own device; local monitoring stops if that device or its app is not running.
Choose what to monitor and when
Start with the page or the specific section whose changes matter. Watching a selected element rather than a whole page can make alerts easier to interpret; Visualping supports both whole-page and selected-element monitoring (Visualping Help Center).

Decide which weekdays to check and set the start and end of the allowed window. A weekday 9 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule is a common example, but use the hours that match your team’s working day. Confirm the timezone used by the schedule before relying on it.
Set business-hour checks in Visualping
- Open the monitor’s Schedule settings.
- Select the weekdays on which checks should run.
- Adjust the start and end time boxes to the business-hours window you want.
- Confirm the workspace timezone. Visualping says schedules use the workspace timezone; Business plan users can set it explicitly, while other plans inherit the user timezone. See Visualping’s Advanced Scheduling instructions.
- Review the next scheduled check and make sure it falls inside the selected window, with no checks on inactive days or overnight.
Visualping’s documented Advanced Scheduling supports selected days and one shared time block for those days. If Monday needs different hours from Friday, the documented control does not provide separate daily blocks.

Set a time window in Distill
Distill supports interval schedules generally and time slots for local monitors. Its schedule example runs checks from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. For a local monitor, open its schedule settings, set the start and end times, and select the active days. The specific schedule and availability can depend on whether the monitor is local or cloud-based; see Distill’s schedule instructions.
Local or cloud monitoring?
- Local monitor: Checks run on your device, so the relevant browser or app must remain open. If the device sleeps, shuts down, or the app closes, checks may not run as scheduled.
- Cloud monitor: Checks run on Distill’s servers rather than relying on your device being on. Distill documents cron schedules for specific recurring times as an Enterprise-plan feature.
Check the timezone associated with the device or app when configuring a local monitor, and verify the next scheduled check after saving.

Check that the schedule is doing what you expect
- Confirm the correct weekdays are selected, not merely the daily time range.
- Check the displayed timezone against the intended business-hours timezone, especially if your account or device is used from another region.
- Look at the next scheduled run to confirm it is within the window. A check scheduled just before the window opens or after it closes may indicate a timezone or boundary-setting mistake.
- For local checks, ensure the browser or app stays active during the scheduled period. For cloud checks, confirm that you selected a cloud monitor rather than assuming a local one will run unattended.
- If only one part of a page matters, monitor that section where supported, so unrelated page changes are less likely to trigger confusing alerts.
Common scheduling problems
Checks still happen outside the intended hours
Recheck both the selected days and the start/end times, then confirm the schedule timezone. In Visualping, schedules follow the workspace timezone, which may be inherited from the user on plans other than Business.
A local monitor misses checks
Local Distill checks depend on the browser or app running on the device. Keep it open during the scheduled window, or choose a cloud monitor if checks must continue while your computer is off.

You need different hours on different weekdays
Visualping’s documented Advanced Scheduling uses one shared time block for its selected days. Distill local time slots allow selected days and a start/end time; for more precise recurring timing, Distill documents cron as Enterprise-only. Verify current plan access and interface details in the vendor documentation.
