Yes. Visualping can monitor a password-protected page by entering the login-page URL and configuring actions to fill in the username and password, then submit the form. You can also monitor from a browser session that is already signed in. Whichever method you use, check the preview and confirm it shows the protected content—not the login page—before starting the monitor.
Set up Visualping to log in before checking the page
For a site whose login can be repeated without a person entering a verification code, configure Visualping to perform the login actions before capturing the page.

- Create a job. Enter the site’s login-page URL.
- Target the username field. In the Actions or Perform Actions section, add a Type action. Use the selector tool in the preview to choose the username or email field. If the tool cannot identify it, use the field’s ID, class, or XPath.
- Target the password field. Add another Type action and select the password field. Visualping’s setup interface can hide sensitive typed text. After the job is created, the hidden text cannot be revealed again; it can only be deleted.
- Submit the form. Add a Click action for the login button.
- Wait for the authenticated page. If content loads after login, add a Wait action. Visualping’s example suggests at least three seconds; treat that as a starting point, since a slower site may need more time.
- Check the preview. Run or inspect it and verify that it shows the page and content you intend to monitor. If it shows the login screen, an error, or an incomplete page, fix the actions or timing before proceeding.
- Choose what to monitor. Select the whole page or the relevant element, define which changes matter, choose a check frequency, and start the job.
Visualping replays configured actions on each check. If the site’s login form, selectors, or sequence changes, update the actions and check the preview again.

Choose based on whether the site’s authentication can be replayed, whether checks need to continue while your computer is off, and how you will recover if a session expires. If the site requires a verification step on every login, test the actual workflow rather than assuming automated actions will get through.

Protect credentials and detect session expiry
Visualping’s hide option conceals sensitive typed text in the setup interface, but that fact alone does not establish security, retention, or encryption guarantees. The available product documentation does not establish an independent security audit or a detailed policy for credentials entered into Actions. Use only an account and access appropriate for monitoring, and be cautious about sharing a job or workspace because its actions are replayed on checks.
If minimizing exposure to saved login actions matters more than running checks with your computer off, local monitoring in an already-authenticated browser may be a better fit, provided you can keep that browser available.

A session can expire and cause the captured page to fall back to a login screen. That may look like a page change. Review the preview after setup and pay attention to alerts that show a login page or authentication error; restore access and verify the captured content if the session has expired.
Troubleshoot common setup failures
- The preview stays on the login page: Check that the Type actions select the correct username and password fields and that the Click action targets the actual submit button. Add or lengthen a Wait action if the page needs time to load.
- The job reaches the page initially but later reports a change to the login screen: The session may have expired. Sign in again or revise the chosen authentication method, then inspect the preview to confirm access has returned.
- The site asks for a verification code: Visualping’s documented pre-actions cannot enter a two-factor verification code. Try local monitoring from a browser where you complete the sign-in, or determine whether a captured session is suitable and how you will refresh it when it expires.
- The selected element or action stops working: The site’s login page may have changed. Re-select the field or button in the preview, or update its ID, class, or XPath, then test the sequence again.
- The protected content is incomplete after login: Increase the wait after submission and inspect the preview again. A wait that works for one site or one load is not a guarantee for every check.
