Wachete calls a monitor that interacts with a login a flow monitor. If the content only appears after JavaScript runs, you may also need Dynamic monitoring; the two settings address different problems.

Enter the page’s username and password in the preview, then click Sign In. Wachete identifies a monitor that interacts with a login this way as a flow monitor.

Once signed in, select the text, number, section, or entire page you want Wachete to track. Selecting only the smallest area that contains the information you need can reduce alerts caused by unrelated page changes.

Choose how often Wachete should check the page and how you want to be notified. Wachete lists email, phone notifications, and chat integrations such as Slack, Teams, Discord, and Telegram.
Wachete’s official FAQ documents the protected-page sign-in workflow. Its features page and homepage describe general monitoring and alert capabilities. These are vendor descriptions, not a guarantee that every protected site will allow monitoring.

Flow monitor or Dynamic monitor: which do you need?
| Setting | What it addresses | When to use it |

| Dynamic monitor | Content rendered by JavaScript. | Use it when the content is missing in the regular preview but appears after switching the preview to Dynamic. |
A logged-in page can require either setting or both: sign-in gets the monitor through authentication, while Dynamic mode helps display content that is rendered after the page loads. Check what appears in the preview instead of assuming one setting replaces the other.
Fix common problems
The preview does not show the information I want

Switch the preview to Dynamic if the content may be rendered by JavaScript.

Try a different monitoring location. Wachete lists monitoring locations as an option; location can matter to what the page serves.

The page returns Forbidden
Wachete says automated-bot protection is a common cause of a Forbidden response. It documents trying a rotating residential proxy as one possible diagnostic step, and also describes monitoring locations and user-provided proxies. These options may not overcome a site’s access controls; success is not guaranteed.
Alerts include irrelevant changes
Reduce the monitored area to the specific text or section you need. Wachete also lets you exclude changing elements in the preview or use an Exclude XPath in advanced settings; its FAQ describes examples such as excluding date elements and links.

A cookie banner blocks the preview
Wachete says you can hide the banner from the preview context menu or disable styles and images. Check the resulting preview before choosing the content to monitor.
The monitor seems to have detected a change at the wrong time
Wachete distinguishes the last time content changed from the most recent check time. Its monitor details show both timestamps, which helps separate when a change was observed from when the page was last checked.
What to expect from hosted monitoring
Wachete runs monitors on its servers and can send notifications through the methods it lists, so the monitor does not depend on keeping your own browser open. Before relying on it for important updates, confirm that the saved preview shows the authenticated content and that the chosen notification method reaches you.
