Browse AI can monitor data that appears only after sign-in. Start with the page closest to the information you want, choose session-cookie login if your signed-in Chrome session already shows it, or use password login and Robot Studio if the robot must sign in and navigate. Train and approve the robot, then enable monitoring and choose a schedule. Test the exact workflow on your target site before relying on it: security controls, MFA and changing page behavior can prevent a successful run.
Choose the right starting page and monitoring task
In Browse AI, the URL you begin from is the Origin URL. Use the page closest to the data you need. If the data has no direct URL, Robot Studio can record a route to it, including searching, signing in, navigating, clicking or scrolling. Browse AI’s training guide describes this workflow.

In the create flow, choose “Monitor site changes” to create a monitor directly. Alternatively, create a structured-extraction robot and add monitoring to it. The second approach is useful when you want to capture labeled fields or repeating rows as well as detect changes.
Choose how Browse AI should access the login

These routes are described in Browse AI’s guide to data behind a login. Session cookies are appropriate only when the existing browser session actually exposes the target data; choose password login if the robot needs to perform the sign-in itself.

Train, approve and schedule the robot
- Set the Origin URL. Enter the most direct page available for the target data.
- Choose the login route. Select session cookies for an already signed-in, data-visible Chrome session, or password login when the robot must sign in.
- Record the route in Robot Studio if needed. Perform the necessary login, navigation, clicks, scrolling and form entry. Select the text or repeating list to capture, and label the data points you want monitored. Browse AI also supports screenshots.
- Inspect the preview. Finish recording, check that the preview contains the intended logged-in data, and approve the robot. If it captured a login page, an interstitial or the wrong content, retrain rather than scheduling it.
- Enable monitoring. Set a custom schedule and choose where change notifications or data should go. Browse AI documents export and integrations, including an API.
Cookie or consent banners can disrupt recorded actions if they move, change or do not appear in the robot’s run location. Test the full sequence, including any banner handling, rather than assuming the same clicks will work on every run. Browse AI’s troubleshooting guidance recommends using an existing session when suitable and testing the actual workflow.
Validate compatibility before depending on monitoring
A documented login workflow does not mean every authenticated site will work. Browse AI’s compatibility guide, dated February 20, 2025, says MFA/2FA are unsupported, virtual lists are unsupported, and direct iframe interaction is unsupported; it notes that a separate robot may work with an iframe’s direct URL. The guide also warns that high-security sites may detect logins from Browse AI IP addresses or suspicious task volume. Treat these as documented limitations in that dated guide, and verify compatibility for your site before scaling.
The same guide reports an “over 90%” success rate for newly created custom robots. That is Browse AI’s vendor-published figure, not an independent benchmark or a guarantee for a particular site or authenticated workflow. Read Browse AI’s compatibility guide for the stated constraints.

Troubleshoot common failures
- The robot lands on a login page instead of the data: Confirm the Origin URL and selected login method. If using session cookies, verify that the signed-in Chrome session exposes the data; otherwise train a password-login route in Robot Studio.
- Recorded clicks stop working: Check whether a cookie banner, popup or page layout changed. Retrain and test the current sequence rather than relying on old coordinates or steps.
- The site blocks or challenges runs: A site’s security controls may reject automated or unusual login activity. The compatibility guide identifies differing IP addresses and high task volume as possible signals; validate at a cautious scale and do not assume repeated runs will succeed.
- The required content is in an unsupported element: The cited compatibility guidance lists virtual lists and direct iframe interaction as unsupported. Where applicable, test the iframe’s direct URL with a separate robot.
- MFA is required: The cited compatibility guide lists MFA/2FA as unsupported. Do not plan a production workflow around an assumption that Browse AI will complete that challenge.
