To monitor a government exam results page with Sken.io, open the exam authority’s current official results page, select the smallest area where the relevant notice or result entry will appear, choose Content mode, set a check interval, and choose an alert channel. Treat any alert only as a prompt to check the authority’s site: a page change does not confirm a result or tell you whether a candidate passed.
Find the current official result page first
Start from the examination authority’s current website and follow its links to the relevant result page. Exam pages can move or point to separate result services, so check that the domain belongs to the authority or that the authority explicitly links to it. For example, SSC’s legacy results page directs visitors to its newer portal for current results and updates: SSC results. UPSC publishes written-result information and documents at its written results page. NTA lists results at its Exam Result page and links to result services such as this result portal.

results.gov.in describes itself as a gateway to results from examination bodies. It can help you find an authority, but the authority’s own current notice and result documents remain the place to verify an announcement.
Set up a Sken.io monitor
- Choose the public page for the right exam. Use the current result or announcement page, preferably one specific to the exam or session you are following. If the authority directs candidates to a separate login or scorecard service, use the public announcement page for monitoring where possible and visit the official portal as instructed when a notice appears.
- Enter the page URL in Sken.io. Sken.io’s workflow is to provide a public page address, select the area to watch, choose an interval, and select how to receive alerts. See Sken.io for its current workflow and options.
- Select a narrow area. Focus on the result list, announcement text, upload date, status, or link label that should change. A whole page may include unrelated notices or rotating material that can generate unnecessary alerts.
- Choose Content mode for text changes. Use it when the meaningful signal is a new result entry, changed notice wording, a date, or a link. Choose Visual mode only when a change in appearance itself matters, such as a status badge. Sken.io describes the distinction in its Content vs. Visual guide, dated February 14, 2026.
- Set the check interval. Match it to the expected announcement window and your available checks. Sken.io says paid plans offer intervals from once a minute to once a month; the more frequent the check, the faster it may notice a change, but the quicker it uses the allowance.
- Choose an alert channel you will check. Sken.io lists email, Android push, Slack, Discord, Google Chat, webhooks, Zapier, and a Chrome extension. Confirm availability and setup in the product before relying on a particular channel.
- Verify every alert at the authority’s site. Open the official page directly, inspect the notice or result document, and follow its directions. Do not rely on an alert message or captured snapshot as an official declaration.
Choose Content or Visual mode
| Decision | Content mode | Visual mode |
|---|---|---|
| What it compares | Text in the selected area | The rendered appearance of the selected area |
| Suitable exam-page signal | A new result entry, notice wording, date, or changed link text | A visible badge or layout change that is itself meaningful |
| Likely noise | Text changes unrelated to the result can still trigger a notice | Spacing, font, color, layout, or dynamic-image changes can trigger a notice even if relevant text is unchanged |
| Starting choice for a textual result page | Recommended starting point | Use only when visual state is the signal you need |
Sken.io identifies government announcements as a use case for Content mode. That can reduce alerts caused only by styling changes, but it does not guarantee that every alert is relevant or that every relevant change will be detected.

Reduce noise and manage checks
- Keep the watched area small. Monitor the notice or result section instead of unrelated page content.
- Prefer text comparison for textual updates. Visual comparisons may react to layout, font, spacing, color, or dynamic content, while Content mode focuses on text.
- Consider page elements that change on their own. Sken.io describes removing cookie banners, popups, chat widgets, and rotating ads that might otherwise affect a check. Its listed options are on the features page.
- Review snapshots after an alert. Sken.io says it keeps up to 12 snapshots per task as a rolling history, not a permanent archive. Do not treat that history as a substitute for saving an official notice you need to retain.
- Use fast checks for a defined window. Sken.io gives the example that a one-minute interval uses 1,440 checks per day for one task. A fast interval may suit a short, important announcement window better than continuous tracking on a limited allowance.
Know what the monitor can and cannot tell you
Sken.io says it renders pages in a real browser, so JavaScript-rendered content is supported. Its public-page workflow uses anonymous visitor access; a page behind a multi-step sign-in is outside its stated sweet spot. Some exam services send candidates to a separate login or scorecard portal, so monitor a public announcement page where possible and use the portal as the authority directs.
A detected change means the selected page area changed; it does not authenticate the announcement, establish that an authority has declared a result, or determine an individual candidate’s status. A monitor can miss a change or alert on an unrelated one. Check the authority’s current official site and follow the notice’s own instructions.

| Paid tier | 500 checks per month | €3 per month |
| Paid tier | 3,000 checks per month | €12 per month |
| Paid tier | 15,000 checks per month | €45 per month |
The same homepage says one check is one visit to one page. For one task checked every minute, its arithmetic example is 1,440 checks per day. A short monitoring period around an expected result announcement can help keep a small check budget from being consumed by year-round frequent polling. Sken.io’s separate pricing page lists the headline tiers and trial too; check the live homepage and purchase terms for current details.

If your need is a one-time capture of a public results page rather than ongoing change alerts, ScreenshotNeo provides a screenshot API and MCP server. Its one-call cURL example captures a URL as an image; see the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. Replace the target URL if needed:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
ScreenshotNeo removes cookie or consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; those steps can be turned off. Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and the response identifies the page verdict and billing status in headers. Its MCP server offers take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf for AI agents such as Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. It captures a page; it does not replace Sken.io’s ongoing monitoring and alerts. Common problems and fixes
- You get too many alerts. The selected area may include unrelated or dynamic content, or Visual mode may be reacting to presentation changes. Narrow the area and use Content mode if the signal is text.
- You do not get an alert for an expected result. Confirm that the page URL is current and that the result appears within the selected area. Check the monitor’s latest snapshot and task settings, then open the authority’s site directly; an alert service is not the official source.
- The result page requires sign-in. Sken.io’s stated workflow is for public pages and anonymous visitor access. Use a public announcement page for monitoring if the authority provides one, then use the official sign-in portal directly as instructed.
- The alert arrives but the candidate’s result is unclear. A page-change alert is not a candidate-status determination. Read the authority’s result document or portal instructions and verify the relevant details there.
- The check allowance runs out sooner than expected. Check interval frequency against the number of tasks and days you intend to monitor. At one-minute checks, one task uses 1,440 checks daily according to Sken.io’s example; reduce frequency or limit the monitoring window if your allowance is insufficient.
