To check a meditation stream you are broadcasting, open its stream entry in YouTube Studio or the Live Control Room on your phone. Read the stream-health status and any error instructions, then check the actual audio and video by viewing the broadcast. Audience metrics can show activity, but they do not tell you whether the meditation sounds clean or looks right.
If you mean watching someone else’s meditation stream, open it in the YouTube app instead; that does not give you access to the creator’s health dashboard.

Check a stream you are broadcasting
- Rehearse before a long broadcast. YouTube recommends trying a test live stream to get comfortable with the steps. Check the phone and viewing arrangement you intend to use before relying on them for a longer session. YouTube live-streaming tips
- Open the current stream in YouTube Studio or Live Control Room. YouTube says stream health and analytics are available in Live Control Room. The interface can change, so open the current stream entry and follow the dashboard labels rather than relying on a fixed menu path. - Read stream status first. It is the creator-facing health indicator for the signal being sent to YouTube. YouTube says it may show specific errors and instructions. Follow the information shown for your stream, then check the viewer-facing broadcast. YouTube stream-health guidance
- Review metrics separately. Depending on the streaming method and device, the dashboard may show measures such as concurrent viewers, duration, likes, views or chat activity. These describe activity, not whether the meditation audio is clear or the image is correct. Not every metric is established as available in every mobile dashboard view. - Listen and look at the output. YouTube’s official guidance says, “Continuously monitor streams for audio and video quality.” If you notice a problem, consult the stream-status error detail and inspect the viewer-facing stream again. A phone stand can make an extended check-in more comfortable by keeping the screen visible hands-free. It is optional and does not improve stream reliability.
Watch someone else’s meditation stream
Open the YouTube app and find the live stream or open its link. For a scheduled stream, use “Notify me” on the stream page if that option is available; YouTube can notify you when it starts.
