To mirror an iPhone to a Samsung TV, enable AirPlay on a supported TV, connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network, then choose the TV from Control Center > Screen Mirroring on the iPhone. Enter the on-screen code if prompted. Samsung TV AirPlay support varies by model and market, so confirm it on your specific set before troubleshooting.
Check whether your Samsung TV supports AirPlay
AirPlay is Samsung’s native wireless method for mirroring an iPhone on compatible TVs. Support depends on the exact model and region, not one universal year cutoff. Samsung’s US support page lists select TV models from 2018–2025, while its UK guidance describes AirPlay sharing on Samsung TVs manufactured after 2019. Those regional descriptions are not interchangeable. Check your model on Samsung’s local support site or look in the TV settings for Apple AirPlay Settings. Samsung US: AirPlay 2 support and setup; Samsung UK: screen mirroring and AirPlay; Samsung Australia: mirror an iOS device; Samsung Hong Kong: mirror an iOS device.

How to mirror your iPhone to a Samsung TV
- Enable AirPlay on the TV. Open Settings or All Settings, then find Apple AirPlay Settings. Depending on the model and software, it may be under Connection or Connections. Turn AirPlay on.
- Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network. The iPhone and TV need to be on the same network for AirPlay discovery and communication.
- Start mirroring from the iPhone. Swipe down from the upper-right corner to open Control Center. Tap Screen Mirroring, then select your Samsung TV.
- Enter the AirPlay code if asked. Type the code displayed on the TV into the iPhone.
- Stop when finished. Open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring, then tap Stop Mirroring.
TV menu names and availability can differ by model and software version. Samsung’s step-by-step instructions are available from its Australia support page.

Mirror the whole screen or share one kind of media?
Screen Mirroring shows the iPhone display on the TV. If you only want to show a photo or video, Samsung also describes starting AirPlay from the iPhone’s Photos app. For audio, use the AirPlay option in a music player. Those options share selected media rather than mirroring everything on the screen. See Samsung’s AirPlay instructions.

Why your Samsung TV may not appear
- Different networks: Confirm that the iPhone and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- AirPlay is off: Return to the TV’s Apple AirPlay Settings and make sure it is enabled.
- A hotspot is in use: Samsung says most mobile hotspots do not allow devices on the network to communicate with one another. A hotspot may therefore prevent the iPhone from finding the TV.
- The TV may not support AirPlay: Verify support for your exact model and region rather than relying on a general model-year rule.
- TV software may need an update: Check the TV’s settings for an available software update, then try discovery again.
Because menus vary across models and software versions, the setting may not appear in the same place on every Samsung TV. Samsung covers network, hotspot, and setup considerations in its US AirPlay support guidance.
When a wired HDMI connection makes sense
If the TV lacks AirPlay support or wireless mirroring is not suitable, Samsung UK describes connecting the iPhone to the TV through an HDMI adapter and cable. The adapter must match the iPhone’s connector, and the TV needs an available HDMI input. Samsung notes that a compatible third-party adapter may be available for older devices without USB-C, but it cannot guarantee that adapter’s performance.
