How to free space used by downloads
Nintendo’s reviewed support material does not provide a procedure for deleting downloaded tracks, a download-storage screen, or a figure for how much space downloads use. There is therefore no Nintendo-verified menu path to give here.
If you need to identify or reduce the app’s storage use, check the storage settings on your phone or contact Nintendo Music Support for current guidance. Device storage settings can report an app’s space use, but the support material cited here does not establish that a particular device-level action is the intended way to remove Nintendo Music downloads. Avoid deleting app data or reinstalling the app as a presumed download-management method unless Nintendo or your device’s current guidance confirms the consequences.

Why a Nintendo Switch microSD card does not solve phone storage
Nintendo’s Switch instructions describe managing downloadable software on the console. They do not connect Switch microSD storage to Nintendo Music downloads on a mobile device. A Switch card should not be treated as extra phone storage or as a way to clear music downloads.
What to do if downloaded music stops playing offline
Nintendo says downloaded tracks can expire after an extended period offline. For the listed support codes 9009-2201 and 9010-2101, its guidance is to reconnect to the internet and leave Nintendo Music running for about 30 minutes. On iOS, keep the app in the foreground during that period. See Nintendo’s support-code guidance, dated September 2, 2026.

Nintendo also reports a possible Android issue after app version 1.7 in which downloaded tracks may fail to play offline, including for users who reconnect regularly. If the reconnection guidance does not resolve the problem, consult Nintendo Music Support rather than assuming the files need to be deleted.
