Download tracks in the app before going offline. Nintendo’s published support pages do not document how to delete an individual download, clear all downloads, or check the app’s storage use, so avoid guessing at a menu path.
What can be downloaded for offline listening?
The Nintendo Music smart-device app supports offline listening after you download music in advance, according to Nintendo Music Support. The web version does not support downloads or offline playback; it is for streaming while connected, as Nintendo explains in its web-version FAQ.

How do I delete downloads or check their storage use?
Nintendo’s available support documentation does not specify a supported sequence for removing one downloaded track, clearing all downloaded tracks, or checking how much device storage Nintendo Music uses. It also does not state a download limit or provide a typical file size, so there is no reliable figure to use for estimating space. Consult the current in-app guidance or Nintendo Music Support rather than following instructions for another music app.
Do not use Nintendo Switch console storage controls for this task. Nintendo’s Switch data-management page covers console software and console free space, not Nintendo Music downloads on a phone or tablet.

What happens to downloads when I change devices?
When you sign in on another device with the same Nintendo Account, some account-linked data, including favorites and playlists, transfers. Downloaded track data does not: Nintendo says you must download those tracks again. Some settings and history may not transfer either, according to its device-transfer FAQ.
Why might downloaded tracks stop working offline?
After being offline for an extended period
Nintendo says downloaded tracks expire after an extended period offline. Its support notice dated September 2, 2026, for support codes 9009-2201 or 9010-2101, gives this recovery procedure: connect the device to the internet, open Nintendo Music, and leave the app running for about 30 minutes. On Android, it may run in the background while you use other apps. On iOS, keep it in the foreground; putting the device to sleep or sending the app to the background interrupts the procedure. See Nintendo’s troubleshooting notice for the current instructions.

If the problem affects one track on Android
Nintendo’s September 2, 2026 notice also describes an Android issue after app version 1.7 in which downloaded music may fail to play offline even for users who regularly reconnect. If only a particular track is affected, Nintendo advises playing that track while online once, then trying it offline again. The notice’s general online recovery procedure may also help.

Nintendo says playlist data remains saved if you cancel your Nintendo Switch Online membership, and certain playlist operations remain available. That statement concerns playlist data; it does not establish that music playback remains available after cancellation. See the membership cancellation FAQ for Nintendo’s explanation.
