The reviewed official materials do not document shared Muse household accounts, family-member roles, or a way to administer relatives from one Muse account. What does connecting a shared calendar mean?
Meta’s Google Play listing advertises the ability to link a user’s calendar. That establishes a calendar connection, not a dedicated family-calendar feature or a Muse workflow for inviting relatives and changing their calendar permissions. If relatives already share a calendar, manage its members and sharing permissions in the calendar service. The available Meta guidance does not say that Muse can add or remove calendar members or change their access. Connecting your own account to Muse should not be treated as granting family members access to it.
How Muse calendar permissions work
Meta’s guidance distinguishes between reading information and making changes. Where the connected service supports separate controls, Muse can have read access without write access. For schedule awareness—such as flagging a conflict—read access is the lower-impact choice. Choose the narrowest access that supports the task you want Muse to perform. A connection by itself does not authorize every possible action: Meta says Muse must stay within the approved action and details, and changed details require a new approval.
What do Allow once, Always allow, and Deny do?

- Always allow: applies to non-sensitive tools within the approved scope. It is not blanket permission for every action; you can revoke it.
- Deny: declines the requested action.

What to check before using Muse with a family calendar
- Confirm which account is connected. Make sure it is the calendar account you intend Muse to access; the reviewed sources do not specify the available providers or connection screens.
- Start with read access if schedule awareness is enough. Enable write access only for tasks that genuinely require Muse to create or change events, if the service offers separate controls.
- Inspect each approval. Check the requested action and its details before allowing it. Changed details require a fresh approval under Meta’s connector rules.
- Keep sensitive approvals manual. Meta’s published guidance requires approval every time for sensitive writes.
- Manage family membership in the calendar service. Use that service’s controls to invite or remove relatives and set their access; Muse’s reviewed documentation does not establish that it can manage those permissions.
- Revoke access when it is no longer wanted. Meta’s listing says users can revoke a connector. Check the current app for the applicable control, since the listing does not provide an exact path.
Why review Muse’s actions?
Meta says Muse can make mistakes and identifies prompt injection—malicious instructions embedded in data an agent reads—as an unresolved safety challenge.
