Switch off the categories you do not want; if you still want delivery progress and Dasher contact, consider keeping order-update push and SMS alerts on. These settings are separate from Siri and Android voice-control permissions, and DoorDash does not need microphone access simply to manage notification preferences.
Change DoorDash notification preferences

Scroll to Notifications.

DoorDash lists preferences for order-update push and SMS notifications, as well as promotional or informational categories such as store offers, DoorDash offers, recommendations, reminders, and product updates or news. Turn off only the categories you no longer want rather than disabling all alerts by default.

Choose what to keep for an active delivery
Order-update push and SMS alerts can provide order status and let you know when a Dasher has trouble finding you. DoorDash recommends keeping those options on for those purposes. If you switch them off, do not assume every order-related message will stop: DoorDash says Dashers may still message you directly about an order and reply to your messages regardless of your opt-in status for those two settings. Stop marketing email or texts separately
In-app push preferences and marketing email or text subscriptions are separate controls. DoorDash’s US privacy policy says promotional email and text messages can be unsubscribed through the mechanism in the message. It also says transactional, informational, and relationship communications may continue after a marketing opt-out, and that disabling push alerts may affect use of the service or relationship. DoorDash alerts are not Siri or Android voice permissions
DoorDash’s notification switches choose which DoorDash communication categories you receive. They do not grant or revoke voice-assistant access. Apple’s documentation describes authorization for apps that implement Siri functionality and says users can later change that authorization in Settings; it does not establish that the current DoorDash app has a Siri integration. On Android, Voice Access is an accessibility feature for spoken navigation and commands. Google’s setup instructions require microphone and notification permissions for Voice Access’s listening control. That permission is for the voice-control feature, not a requirement for DoorDash alerts. Google: Set up Voice Access
Google also explains that microphone permission enables voice interaction with Google Assistant and that apps need their own microphone permissions to use the microphone. The reviewed official guidance does not establish that DoorDash needs microphone access to manage notifications. Google Assistant microphone permissions

No official DoorDash source reviewed here confirms a current Siri, Google Assistant, or Alexa integration for ordering or notification management. Treat such an integration as unverified, not as a reason to enable DoorDash microphone access.

Check the specific category switch in Account > Notifications, rather than assuming one master switch controls every kind of communication.

For marketing email or texts, use the unsubscribe mechanism in the promotional message; changing push preferences does not itself unsubscribe you from those channels.

If an operating-system permission prompt appears, check which app or system feature is requesting access and what function it enables. Do not grant DoorDash microphone access solely to turn DoorDash alerts on or off.
