The steps vary by device. This repeats videos in a playlist—including livestream replays published as videos—but YouTube’s documented playlist control does not establish that it will restart a broadcast that is still live.
Repeat a playlist on a computer
- Open a video that belongs to the playlist.
- Expand the playlist panel beside the video.
- Click Loop in the playlist box. The playlist will repeat continuously. YouTube documents this control in its computer playlist instructions.
To repeat only the video currently playing, right-click the video player and choose Loop. That is different from looping the full playlist.
Repeat a playlist on Android
- Start playing the playlist in the YouTube app.
- In the Playlist control box below the video, tap Loop.
- Check the icon before leaving playback. Tapping Loop a second time switches to repeating only the current video; the icon shows a 1 for that mode.
YouTube’s Android instructions describe the playlist control. YouTube also provides a Hindi help page with the same playlist-loop behavior.
Repeat a playlist on a TV or game console
- Select the playlist and start one of its videos.
- Press down on the TV remote or game controller to reveal playback controls.
- Select Repeat until the display indicates Repeat • Playlist. You can also look for Repeat in Settings while watching.
The Hindi-localized YouTube Help instructions describe this TV and console control. Labels and placement can vary by device and app version; choose the playlist repeat mode rather than a single-video repeat mode.

On iPhone or iPad
The official help instructions available for this guide do not provide a current iOS-specific button path. Start the playlist and look for its playlist-specific Loop control in the player or playlist controls. Make sure the control is set to repeat the playlist, not just the current video. If the control is absent, check that you are playing a playlist rather than an individual video; the exact interface may change between app versions.
Does looping work for a live broadcast?
It depends on what “live playlist” means. YouTube defines a live stream as media broadcast in real time. After a stream ends, the channel may publish a replay or highlights that appear as videos. A published replay can be included in a playlist and treated like other videos for playlist looping.

YouTube’s documentation explains repeating playlist items; it does not establish that playlist repeat restarts a broadcast that is still in progress. Do not rely on the Loop or Repeat control to restart an ongoing live stream. For the distinction between broadcasts and replays, see YouTube’s live-stream replay help.
Playlist Loop is not the same as Auto-play
Loop repeats the playlist you selected. Auto-play plays a related video after the current video ends, so it is not the control for cycling through a chosen playlist. YouTube says Auto-play can stop after 30 minutes of inactivity on a mobile network or four hours on Wi-Fi. Those are Auto-play limits, not a guarantee or measure of playlist looping.
