If you want a sequence of meditations, loop a playlist instead. Autoplay chooses a related next video and may pause to ask whether you are still watching, so it is less reliable for unattended playback.
Choose the playback method that matches what you want

Repeat one meditation video
On Android
- Open the meditation video in the YouTube app.
- Tap the video, then tap Settings.
- Tap Additional settings, then choose Loop video.

On a TV or game console
While the video is playing, select Repeat. The exact on-screen control can vary by TV or console interface.
On other devices
Look in the player’s playback or settings controls for a loop option. YouTube’s menus vary between devices; if you cannot find a repeat control, use a playlist containing the meditation and enable its loop control where available.

Loop a playlist instead
- Start the playlist containing the meditations you want to hear.
- Open the playlist’s playback controls and turn on Loop.
- If you want the same playlist video to repeat rather than the whole sequence, select the playlist’s option to loop the current video.
Playlist looping is useful when you want a fixed sequence rather than YouTube-selected recommendations. Check that the playlist contains the intended videos before settling in.
Why Autoplay may not last all night
Autoplay is a separate setting on each device. When it is on, YouTube plays a related video after the current one ends; it does not promise to replay the same meditation. YouTube Help: Autoplay videos.

YouTube may show a “Continue watching?” prompt while Autoplay is on. Its Help page lists prompt intervals of 30 minutes on mobile, 60 minutes on web, and 180 minutes on TV. These are documented intervals at which the prompt may appear, not a guarantee that playback will stop exactly then. If no one confirms, playback can be interrupted. Keep playback going—or set it to stop
For continuous overnight playback
Do not enable Sleep Timer: it is designed to pause the video after the duration you choose. YouTube describes it as a way to “fall asleep watching videos and have them automatically pause after a certain time.” YouTube Help: Set a sleep timer — Computer.
For a planned stop
If you want the meditation to pause after you fall asleep, set a Sleep Timer rather than looping indefinitely. YouTube provides timer help for Android as well as computer; the precise controls depend on the device and app version. YouTube Help: Set a sleep timer — Android.

Using a phone with its screen off
Looping with YouTube open is different from playing audio while the screen is off or while you use another app. YouTube’s Android background-play guidance says background play works in the mobile apps and requires YouTube Premium; some videos are not eligible. Check the current availability for your account and the specific meditation. YouTube Help: Background play isn’t working — Android.
Troubleshooting interruptions
- The same video does not restart: Confirm that Loop video or Repeat is enabled. Autoplay is not the repeat control.
- A different video starts: You are likely using Autoplay. Turn it off if you want only the selected meditation, then use the video’s loop control.
- Playback pauses and asks if you are watching: This is YouTube’s “Continue watching?” prompt. Autoplay may require confirmation at the documented mobile, web, or TV intervals above.
- The playlist stops at its end: Enable the playlist’s Loop control. If the current item alone should repeat, choose the current-video loop option.
- The video pauses after a set time: Check whether Sleep Timer is active and disable it for overnight playback.
- Audio stops when the phone screen turns off: Background play has separate requirements from looping; on Android, YouTube says it requires Premium and that some videos are ineligible.
If you mean broadcasting your own meditation channel
The steps above control playback on your device while watching YouTube. They do not keep someone else’s video playing on your phone, and they do not broadcast a video from your channel.
