Start by identifying the product family: RIDGID power tools and RIDGID pipe and other hand tools use different warranty terms and service routes. For an eligible, registered power tool with a Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA), submit the claim from your RIDGID account under My Tools. Other products may need an authorized service center or a different repair route.
First, identify the tool and its warranty
Find the tool’s exact model number and determine whether it is a RIDGID power tool, a RIDGID pipe or other hand tool, or another product category. Do not assume every product carrying the RIDGID name shares one warranty or claim process.

RIDGID describes a three-year limited warranty and an optional Lifetime Service Agreement for eligible power tools. LSA availability and coverage depend on the product, purchase channel, registration, and other terms. The separate full-lifetime warranty applies to qualifying RIDGID-branded pipe and other hand tools under its own conditions. - Proof of purchase: Keep the receipt or other acceptable purchase record. RIDGID requires proof of purchase to approve LSA registration.
- Model and serial numbers: Record these from the tool before starting a claim or contacting a service center.
- LSA details: If the tool is registered, have its LSA identification or confirmation information available. RIDGID’s detailed terms say an LSA service request requires the LSA identification number and acceptable personal identification.
- Related cordless equipment: For some cordless-kit diagnostics, the tool, battery, and charger purchased together may need to be present.
For eligible power tools, RIDGID says LSA registration must be completed within 90 days of purchase. The agreement applies to the original purchaser, and reconditioned tools are not eligible for LSA. File an LSA claim for an eligible, registered power tool
- Sign in to your RIDGID account.
- Open My Tools and select the registered product that needs service.
- Choose File A Claim and follow the claim instructions. RIDGID says: “Select ‘File A Claim’ on the product that needs to be serviced.”
- Use the prepaid FedEx label RIDGID provides to ship the tool as instructed.
RIDGID says a factory-trained technician repairs or replaces the tool and that it may be returned in as little as 14 days. That is the company’s stated possible timing, not a guaranteed turnaround. RIDGID Lifetime Service Agreement claim instructions
Choose another service route when the LSA claim flow does not fit

Find service options through RIDGID’s authorized service-center locator and Repair Hub. Do not use the general Request Tool Repair form for a power tool, generator, or pressure washer; RIDGID directs owners of those products to its power-tool support number. If you are outside the United States, contact your local RIDGID distributor or authorized service center because the instructions here are U.S.-focused.

Know what can affect warranty coverage
Power tools
RIDGID’s power-tool terms cover eligible product categories under limited warranty and/or LSA, subject to the specific model terms. The page says coverage can include normal-wear items, parts, and qualifying cordless batteries. It excludes failures related to misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration or modification, unauthorized repair, user-inflicted or external damage, and consumable accessories such as blades and bits. Review RIDGID’s power-tool warranty terms before paying for shipping or parts.
Pipe and other hand tools
The separate full-lifetime warranty describes coverage for defects in workmanship and material during the tool’s usable life. It excludes misuse, abuse, and normal wear. RIDGID determines whether a specific failure is covered under the applicable terms. If coverage does not apply, ask the service provider about repair options and any charges before authorizing work. If you choose self-repair, use the exact model and part number, and avoid unauthorized repairs if you want to preserve warranty eligibility.
