How to Make a 24/7 YouTube Stream of Sanskrit Stotras and Aarti

To run Sanskrit stotras and aarti as a continuous YouTube live stream, you need both a channel enabled for livestreaming and a playback setup that can keep sending the video feed. YouTube documents a 24/7 broadcast pattern, but its creator guidance does not give a beginner playlist-automation recipe. The steps below cover the channel, encoder, test, and music-rights checks—and a cloud option if you do not want a computer running at home.

What you need for a continuous devotional stream

  • A YouTube channel with livestreaming access enabled.
  • A prepared video and audio feed containing the stotras and aarti you intend to broadcast.
  • An encoder route: software on a desktop or mobile device, or optional dedicated hardware. YouTube also supports webcams and its mobile app, though an encoder offers more control for a prepared continuous feed.
  • A stable network connection and a way to monitor the live status.
  • Permission for the specific recording and performance you use, where required.

YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation describes a 24/7 feed continuing while a separate, shorter broadcast starts and ends. That establishes that the platform supports this broadcast pattern; it is not a step-by-step guide to unattended playlist playback or encoder automation. YouTube Live Streaming API guide.

Enable livestreaming before your planned start

  1. Open YouTube while signed in to the channel you will use.
  2. Verify the channel and enable live streaming through YouTube’s creator workflow. First-time access can take at least 24 hours to activate, so do not leave this until the day you plan to start.
  3. Check that the channel has no live-streaming restrictions. YouTube’s creator guidance lists no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days as a requirement.

See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guide and its live-streaming troubleshooting guidance for current channel eligibility and setup details. Labels and availability can change, so follow the prompts shown for your channel.

Choose how to send the feed

Desktop or mobile encoder

YouTube lists desktop and mobile encoders as options for sending a live feed. For a stream built around prepared devotional video and audio, an encoder is the most relevant route because it allows more customization and control than a basic webcam or app broadcast. YouTube’s cited creator guidance does not specify a particular encoder product or a playlist-automation workflow, so confirm that the encoder you choose can perform the playback and continuous operation you require before relying on it.

Hardware encoder

A dedicated hardware live streaming encoder is an optional alternative to software. YouTube documents hardware encoders as a supported method but does not endorse a specific model in the cited guidance. Choose hardware only if it fits your operating and monitoring needs; it is not a prerequisite for going live.

Webcam or YouTube mobile app

YouTube also supports webcam and mobile-app livestreaming. These can suit a live camera presentation, but they are not by themselves an established recipe for unattended playback of a prepared stotra-and-aarti program. Check how your chosen method handles the complete feed rather than assuming it will loop or recover automatically.

Prepare and test the program

  1. Assemble the devotional video and audio that you are authorized to use. Check that the visual and sound remain as intended through the full playback sequence.
  2. Set up the encoder or other sending method, then create an unlisted test stream in YouTube’s live workflow.
  3. Watch the test from a separate device. Check picture, audio levels, transitions, and whether the playback process behaves as you expect over the period you can test.
  4. Check network stability and YouTube’s live status before making the stream public. YouTube recommends testing with an unlisted stream and using a solid network connection.
  5. Resolve warnings in the encoder or YouTube dashboard before relying on the setup for a continuous broadcast.

The cited YouTube guidance does not specify a universal bitrate, resolution, keyframe interval, playlist configuration, or unattended-restart setting for this use case. Use the current requirements shown by the encoder and YouTube for your selected output, and verify the actual result in an unlisted test rather than relying on a generic preset.

Clear the rights to the actual recording

Sanskrit lyrics or devotional subject matter do not by themselves establish that a particular arrangement, performance, or recording is free to use. Rights can attach to the specific recording and performance, as well as to the underlying composition. Identify who controls the material and obtain permission when needed; do not assume a work or recording is public domain without checking the specific rights and applicable jurisdiction.

YouTube says all live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content. A match can lead to a placeholder image, warning, interruption, or termination. If you have licensed a third-party recording, the rights owner may still need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Coordinate with the label or distributor where applicable before going live. See YouTube’s guidance on live-streaming restrictions and copyright on YouTube.

Operate and monitor the stream

Keep an eye on YouTube’s live status and respond promptly to warnings or interruptions. The API’s documented 24/7 pattern confirms that a continuous broadcast can coexist with a separate shorter broadcast, but it does not establish a particular playlist, reboot, or failover setup for your encoder. Plan how you will check the feed and resume operation if your chosen playback process stops; test that response rather than assuming it will happen automatically.

YouTube for Artists reported that over 30% of daily logged-in YouTube viewers watched live content in Q2 2025. That is platform-wide context, not a forecast of demand for Sanskrit devotional streams. See YouTube for Artists.
