Clear the rights to every part of the program

If you have a license for material detected by Content ID, YouTube says the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Do not assume that quiet background music, a short excerpt, or a video found online is cleared for a 24/7 broadcast. Keep records of permissions and license terms, including whether they cover live streaming and repeated playback.
Check that your channel can go live
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to enable live streaming. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before you plan to launch. Check YouTube’s live-streaming enablement requirements and current channel status.

All content in live streams must follow YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Live-stream access can be restricted for policy or copyright reasons, and YouTube says creators must not evade an active restriction by switching to another channel. YouTube’s encoder guide lists the AJA HELO Plus and describes scheduled prerecorded-media streaming without a computer. That is one optional hardware route, not a requirement. Compare choices by operating cost, whether a computer must stay online, scheduled-media support, interruption recovery, control over sound and visuals, and how you will monitor the broadcast. No listed option guarantees uninterrupted uptime.

- Prepare your source. For prerecorded ambience, assemble the footage and audio you are authorized to use. Configure the chosen encoder or service to repeat or schedule the material; verify its current instructions for the exact loop behavior. The YouTube guide documents encoder setup, but does not establish a loop setting for every software application.
- Create the live stream in YouTube Studio. Open YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream, and obtain its stream URL and stream key. You can schedule a stream in advance to promote it before it begins.
- Connect the encoder. Enter YouTube’s stream URL and key in the encoder’s streaming destination settings. Keep the key private: anyone with it may be able to connect an encoder to your channel. Reset it if it is exposed.
- Start the encoder and check the Live Control Room. Start sending the feed, then confirm that YouTube receives it and that the preview, sound, and stream status look right before treating the broadcast as live.
- Test the continuous program. Check that the prepared media repeats or follows its schedule as expected, including the transition from the end back to the beginning. If you use a live camera, verify that the scene and audio remain available. Test the chosen workflow before relying on it around the clock.
- Plan for monitoring and recovery. Check encoder health, internet stability, power continuity, and audio/visual transitions. Decide who will respond if the feed drops or a rights or policy notice appears. A 24/7 target is an operating plan, not a guarantee that the connection or equipment will never fail.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume that a longer continuous broadcast will be archived the same way; confirm current channel behavior and plan separately if you need a recording.
