1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTo make a YouTube radio-style channel for Indian folk music, you need music rights that cover livestreaming, a verified and eligible YouTube channel, and an encoder that actually loops your audio playlist. YouTube does not guarantee a broadcast will run indefinitely: plan how you will monitor and restart it, and keep a local recording if you need an archive.
This guide answers: “How to make a 24/7 YouTube Indian folk music radio channel with an audio playlist.” It covers a do-it-yourself setup in OBS, YouTube’s rights and archive rules, and a cloud-hosted option.

Before you start: clear the music rights
Make rights clearance your first step—not an afterthought. You need permission for both the sound recordings and the underlying compositions, and the permission must cover YouTube livestreaming. If you plan to keep or distribute an archive, confirm that archived use is covered too. Check territory limits and any other conditions in the license, and save the written permissions.

YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility on the person providing the stream: “You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights for the exploitation of the Live Content on the Google Services throughout the world, including, without limitation, music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers (including public performance licenses) and any other royalty participants.”

The XLR mixer is a stepping stone to upgrade your live streaming. Audio mixer offered built-in 48V phantom power which opens up more choices for mics. Directly use it with your condenser microphone but do not solve added peripherals. (NOT available for USB mic)

Four independent channels set on the DJ mixer give audio volume of the MICROPHONE, LINE IN, HEADPHONE, and LINE OUT channels individual control. Configurable on the PC audio mixer instead of just operating on your game or streaming software.
- [Mute and Monitor] The front mute and monitor buttons but not at the back, make it easier to get the audio interface use. Ability to mute audio, the audio mixer for streaming prevents background noise from damaging your live broadcast. The sturdy-built control button allow you to operate freely and easily during live streaming.

Flowing or frozen RGB color rotation in a decent pace presents a greatly strong impression as a "light show" to your audience. Even a streaming equipment accessory will not be dull looking when video production.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects a match, it may warn you, replace the stream with a placeholder, or temporarily interrupt or terminate the stream if the material remains. A license does not necessarily prevent an interruption: ask the rights owner to allowlist your channel in Content ID before you go live. An archive may also receive a Content ID claim after the stream ends.
Choose music whose license permits the way you will use it
- Get permission for the specific recordings and compositions in your playlist, not just a general assurance that a track is “free.”
- Confirm livestream use and, if applicable, archived use, territories, attribution requirements, and any limits on continuous or repeated playback.
- If a rights owner uses Content ID, request channel allowlisting and get confirmation before launch.
- YouTube says Creator Music licenses are for long-form videos and exclude livestreams. Do not rely on a Creator Music license for this radio stream.
YouTube points creators to its Audio Library or other music sources whose licenses explicitly permit the planned use. Credit in a description alone does not grant the necessary rights.
Check channel eligibility and plan the broadcast
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Live streaming may not be available immediately after you enable it, so confirm access in YouTube Studio before preparing a public launch.

- Analog mixing and equalization for pure sound
- Direct mixing of PC/gaming sounds into the streaming output
- Ultra-low noise analog mixer for streaming, podcasting and recording
- Stereo USB audio interface to connect your computer or mobile device
Choose whether the broadcast will be a series of planned sessions or a continuously running service that you monitor and recover when needed. YouTube’s encoder workflow uses a Live server URL and stream key; it does not promise a single stream will remain live indefinitely.
Build and loop the audio playlist in OBS
OBS offers two useful ways to play local audio: a Media Source for repeating one file, or a VLC Video source for managing a playlist of multiple files. The VLC source requires VLC to be installed, and OBS notes that VLC’s architecture should match the OBS installation.
Option 1: loop one audio file
- Open OBS and select the scene you will use for the broadcast.
- In the Sources panel, select + and add a Media Source.
- Choose the local audio file. Enable Loop so playback starts again when the file ends.
- Add a visual for the stream, such as a static title card identifying the folk tradition, language, or program. Check that the audio source is audible in the OBS mixer.
Option 2: loop several files as a playlist
- Install VLC if it is not already installed. Use an installation whose architecture matches OBS.
- In OBS, select + in the Sources panel and add a VLC Video Source.
- Add the audio files in the order you want them to play, then enable Loop Playlist.
- Check that each file plays and that playback returns to the first item when the playlist ends. Add a visual source to the scene if you want viewers to see a title card or other channel artwork.
Test the complete sequence before broadcasting: listen for silence, abrupt or unwanted transitions, and differences in volume. Check that your visual is present and that the scene does not expose private information.

Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room and create or schedule an encoder stream.
- Copy the stream’s server URL and stream key from YouTube into the corresponding streaming settings in OBS. Keep the key private; anyone who obtains it could send a stream to your channel.
- Start the encoder connection from OBS and wait for the preview in Live Control Room.
- Confirm the preview shows the intended visual and audio. When it is ready, start the broadcast in Live Control Room.
- Check the public stream on desktop and mobile before promoting the channel. Keep an eye on the broadcast after launch so you can respond if the connection or playlist stops.
Before making the stream public, test playlist transitions, loop behavior, audio levels, the visual, and the local recording if you are making one. YouTube recommends checking the preview and audio/video quality, as well as accessibility.

A looping playlist keeps the audio source playing; it does not ensure that the encoder connection or YouTube broadcast will stay live. Decide who will monitor the stream and what they will do if OBS disconnects, the playlist stops, or YouTube interrupts the broadcast. A restart may require reconnecting the encoder and starting the broadcast again in Live Control Room.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If you need a complete archive, make a local recording backup and check that the recording is actually being created and has enough available storage. Do not treat YouTube’s archive as the only copy.

Make the channel clear and understand monetization
Describe what listeners are hearing: identify the folk traditions and languages where known, name performers and recording sources when appropriate, and distinguish original recordings from licensed third-party material. Explain the channel’s own curation or other original contribution clearly.
A looping playlist is not automatically eligible for monetization. YouTube applies its monetization policies to livestreams and reviews reused or repetitious material at the channel level. Material reused without significant original commentary, substantive modification, or educational or entertainment value can be ineligible; copyright compliance is a separate requirement. Do not assume that a continuous music stream will be monetized.
For eligible channels, YouTube lists ads, Super Chat and Super Stickers, and memberships as live-stream revenue options. Ad slots are not guaranteed to serve.
