First enable live streaming, then clear the rights to every recording and image, configure a computer or hardware encoder with your YouTube stream key, test the feed, and monitor it. A 24/7 schedule does not remove YouTube’s copyright checks, and no particular encoder setup or computer specification is established as a guaranteed unattended solution.
What you need before starting
- A YouTube channel eligible to livestream: it must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. If this is your first time enabling livestreaming, activation may take up to 24 hours, so do it well before your planned launch.
- A computer running streaming software, or a standalone hardware encoder. YouTube supports encoder streaming for advanced production; the general guidance does not establish a specific product configuration or minimum computer specification for unattended 24/7 operation.
- Gujarati garba instrumental recordings and accompanying visuals for which you have the rights needed for your intended livestream and archive.
- A reliable internet connection with enough upload capacity for the stream, plus a way to check the stream and respond if its audio, video, or connection fails.
A new streaming computer is not automatically necessary. YouTube’s general encoder guidance supports software encoding on a computer, but the right hardware depends on the software and media you choose; the available guidance does not specify a minimum processor, memory, or graphics card.

How to make a 24/7 YouTube radio channel
1. Enable livestreaming early
- Sign in to the YouTube channel you plan to use and complete channel verification if needed.
- Check that the channel has no live-streaming restriction from the previous 90 days.
- Enable livestreaming in YouTube Studio and wait for access to become available. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours.
Do not leave this step until launch day: an eligible channel may still need to wait for first-time activation.

2. Decide how the feed will run
For a do-it-yourself setup, use a computer running software that can send a continuous feed to YouTube, or use a standalone hardware encoder. YouTube supports both kinds of encoders, but that general support is not a tested recipe for keeping a particular machine running unattended indefinitely. Plan for monitoring, power and network interruptions, software issues, and recovery rather than assuming a stream cannot stop.

A hosted service for continuous prerecorded-video streaming is another category to investigate. YouTube’s encoder help identifies Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos. That mention does not establish whether a service is suitable for an audio-led Gujarati radio channel or what its current capabilities and terms are; verify those details with the provider before choosing it.
3. Clear the music and visuals before you stream
“Instrumental,” “traditional,” or “found online” does not by itself establish that a track is free to livestream. Rights can involve both the particular recording and the underlying composition, as well as other rights holders. YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to have the necessary rights for live content worldwide, including music rights involving artists, labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. The rules that apply in the territories where your stream is available matter too.
Before adding a track, document what permission you have and whether it covers the actual use you intend. Check the permitted territories, livestreaming, and whether you can retain or make available an archive after the broadcast. Apply the same care to photographs, artwork, animations, and other visuals in the broadcast.

If a licensor uses Content ID, ask whether your channel must be added to the licensor’s allowlist. YouTube says that even licensed third-party music can be detected and may interrupt a livestream unless the relevant allowlisting is in place. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; if identified material remains, it can temporarily interrupt or terminate the stream. An archived livestream can also receive a Content ID claim after it ends. YouTube’s platform guidance cannot determine whether a particular Gujarati recording is cleared for your planned use.
4. Prepare the continuous program
Organize the tracks and visuals you are entitled to use into the sequence your encoder or chosen service will play. Check that the audio is audible throughout, transitions behave as intended, and the visual feed is suitable for a public YouTube broadcast. YouTube’s general guidance does not prescribe a particular playlist format, software, or sequence for an always-on radio channel.
Choose stream quality and encoder settings based on the source media, your encoder, and your connection. The guidance cited here does not provide a universal bitrate or a specific resolution, frame rate, or keyframe interval for this use, so avoid treating one setting as a guaranteed requirement. Use the encoder’s supported settings and YouTube’s live preview to confirm that the sent feed is received correctly.

5. Connect the encoder to YouTube
- In YouTube Studio, open the live-stream setup and select the encoder workflow. Create or open the stream you intend to use.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key shown in YouTube’s encoder settings into the corresponding fields in your encoder.
- Keep the stream key private. It is the credential that allows an encoder to send a feed to your YouTube stream; anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed using it. Do not publish it in a description, screenshot, or shared document.
- Start the encoder and check YouTube’s Live Control Room preview before you make the stream public. Verify that the expected video and audio arrive and that the correct stream is selected.
YouTube also provides stream settings such as latency and DVR. Choose them for the experience you want rather than assuming one setting is required for every continuous music stream. Confirm the audience can reach the intended stream from the channel and watch pages, including on a phone.

6. Test the connection and launch
- YouTube recommends keeping 20% upload-bandwidth headroom beyond the total stream bitrate. Count both primary and backup streams if you use them. Shared internet use can reduce the capacity available to the encoder.
- Check the Live Control Room preview and listen for the audio you expect; verify the image is stable and the feed is visible on the intended watch page.
- Run a test before treating the channel as launched. YouTube’s general live tips advise setting up an encoder at least two hours before a stream and starting it at least 15 minutes before its scheduled start. For a continuous radio channel, use those timings as planning guidance for a test and launch—not as special 24/7 requirements.
- If your encoder saves a local recording, check that file too. Monitor the live audio and video after launch rather than assuming the preview check proves everything will remain healthy.
Can you stream garba music all day on YouTube?
A continuous livestream is possible only if the channel can keep sending a feed and the content remains eligible under YouTube’s rules. There is no guarantee that a stream will run uninterrupted: YouTube’s automated live scan can interrupt or terminate a stream when it identifies third-party content that remains in the broadcast. Permission from a music rights holder is important, but it does not by itself ensure that automated detection will not interrupt the feed; ask the owner about channel allowlisting when applicable.
There is also a difference between permission to broadcast live and the status of a saved archive. YouTube says archived livestreams may receive Content ID claims after the stream ends, so confirm that the rights you have cover the archive as well as live use.

Keep the channel running responsibly
Monitor the feed and plan for interruption
Check the stream after launch and at intervals that suit your operation. Watch the preview and audience-facing page, and listen for silence, distorted sound, or an unexpected track. If the stream stops, check whether the encoder is still sending, whether the connection has changed, and whether YouTube reports an interruption or content issue. A restart may restore a technical feed, but it cannot resolve missing rights or an unresolved Content ID issue.
Use a test and recovery routine
- Before launch, test the stream key, encoder connection, audio levels, visual feed, and watch-page visibility.
- Know how to restart the encoder and how you will regain access to YouTube Studio if the stream needs attention.
- If you use a backup stream or connection, test it rather than assuming it will take over successfully. Include any backup bitrate in your upload-capacity calculation.
- Review any notices from YouTube and the relevant rights holder. Do not repeatedly restart a stream while leaving identified third-party content in place.
YouTube’s general live guidance supports preparation and monitoring, but it does not prescribe a specific failover design or guarantee a particular 24/7 uptime. Build an operating plan around the equipment and people you actually have available.

Costs and practical trade-offs
A computer-and-encoder setup may use equipment you already own, but the computer, encoder software, internet connection, electricity, and human monitoring still have to be available while the stream runs. A hardware encoder or hosted service may change those costs and responsibilities; compare their current capabilities and terms directly. The available YouTube guidance does not establish a required computer specification or a universal operating cost.
