To run a 24/7 morning bhajan playlist as a YouTube live stream, send prerecorded video and audio through a continuously running encoder or a cloud streaming service. A YouTube playlist by itself does not create a live broadcast. Before going live, enable streaming on your channel, confirm you have the necessary music rights, test the feed, and plan for YouTube’s 12-hour archive and DVR limits.
What you need before starting
- A verified YouTube channel that is eligible to livestream. YouTube says the channel must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and streamers must be at least 16. First-time live-stream enablement can take up to 24 hours, so enable it ahead of your planned launch. See YouTube’s live-stream eligibility guidance.
- Bhajan recordings and compositions that you are authorized to use in a YouTube livestream, including continuous use and any intended monetization or territories.
- An encoder: software on a computer, standalone hardware, or a managed cloud service. YouTube’s encoder guide explains how to connect an encoder using a stream URL and key.
- A stable upload connection with enough capacity for your selected stream bitrate and room for network variation.
For a 24-hour session, account for the platform’s archive behavior: YouTube warns that streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all, and DVR rewind may be limited or unavailable. Keep a separate local recording if you need a dependable archive.

Clear the rights to every bhajan recording
Check the rights for both the musical composition and the particular recording. A “free” label, attribution, or credit line does not by itself grant permission to livestream music. YouTube identifies public-domain music and music used with permission as safe options; read the actual license for live use, territories, continuous playback, and monetization. Keep permission and license records.

If it identifies content, it may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. YouTube advises creators using licensed third-party music to ask the rights owner to add their channel to the Content ID allowlist. Its live-stream copyright guidance explains the process and risks. YouTube’s livestream terms also require that you have the rights needed to exploit the live content on Google services, including music licensing rights.
#1 Best Overall
- Your favorite music and content – Play music, audiobooks, and podcasts from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify and others or via Bluetooth throughout your home.
- Alexa is happy to help – Ask Alexa for weather updates and to set hands-free timers, get answers to your questions and even hear jokes. Need a few extra minutes in the morning? Just tap your Echo Dot to snooze your alarm.
- Keep your home comfortable – Control compatible smart home devices with your voice and routines triggered by built-in motion or indoor temperature sensors. Create routines to automatically turn on lights when you walk into a room, or start a fan if the inside temperature goes above your comfort zone.
- Do more with device pairing – Fill your home with music using compatible Echo devices in different rooms, or create a home theatre system with Fire TV.
- Say goodbye to drop-offs and buffering - With eero Built-in, Echo Dot doubles as a mesh wifi extender, adding up to 1,000 sq. ft. of wifi coverage to your existing eero network.
Do not treat Creator Music as a blanket license for this use. YouTube’s cited Creator Music terms describe availability for U.S. YouTube Partner Program creators, with expansion outside the U.S. pending, and say revenue-sharing tracks covered by those rules cannot be used in live streams.
Choose how to keep the stream running
| Approach | What runs continuously | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Software encoder | A computer runs the encoder and sends the playlist to YouTube. | A low-cost do-it-yourself setup when you can keep the computer and connection running and monitor them. |
| Standalone hardware encoder | Dedicated encoder hardware sends the feed to YouTube. | A dedicated or higher-production rig; hardware is optional, not a YouTube requirement. |
| Managed cloud service | A service runs uploaded prerecorded media from its cloud infrastructure. | Creators who do not want a local computer to run continuously. Check that the service supports your workflow, and remember that the service does not grant music rights. |
Whichever route you choose, YouTube requires an encoder connection to its live system; a playlist created in YouTube is not itself a continuous live encoder.

Set up the YouTube live stream
- Enable live streaming early. Verify your channel and request live access before the day you plan to start. YouTube says first-time enablement may take up to 24 hours; check that the channel has no live restriction in the prior 90 days.
- Create a stream in YouTube Studio. Open Live Control Room, create the stream, and copy the stream URL and stream key shown for the encoder connection. YouTube’s encoder setup instructions cover this flow.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password: do not post it or share it with anyone who should not be able to broadcast on your channel. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio before continuing.
- Configure the encoder. Select the prepared bhajan playlist or media source, enter YouTube’s stream URL and key, and choose a resolution and bitrate your upload connection can sustain. Use the encoder’s recommended YouTube-compatible output settings; avoid selecting a bitrate that leaves no bandwidth for ordinary network fluctuations.
- Start a private or unlisted test first. Start the encoder, wait for the preview in Live Control Room, then check picture, audio levels, synchronization, and the watch page on another device. Correct problems before making the stream public.
- Launch and monitor. Start the public broadcast and monitor both the encoder and YouTube watch page. If your setup has a backup encoder, test the handoff in advance rather than assuming it will work.
Make a 24/7 playlist reliable
A continuous stream depends on more than the encoder’s start button. YouTube’s streaming tips recommend upload bandwidth with 20% headroom over the stream bitrate. Network disruption can still break a broadcast, so headroom and monitoring reduce risk but do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime.

- Listen to the full audio path during testing. Confirm that the playlist advances, there are no silent gaps or abrupt level changes, and the selected audio source is the one being sent.
- Check the public watch page from another device and over mobile access so you can catch access or playback issues viewers may encounter.
- For a computer-based encoder, prevent sleep or automatic shutdown and ensure the computer remains powered and connected. Decide who will respond if the program, computer, or network stops.
- Save and verify a local recording when you need an archive. A YouTube archive is not a substitute for a local copy for a stream longer than 12 hours.
Understand the 12-hour archive and DVR limits
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube also warns that DVR rewind for streams longer than 12 hours can be limited or unavailable. A nominal 24-hour broadcast therefore should not be promoted as guaranteed to have a complete YouTube replay.

If replay access matters, consider ending and restarting as separate shorter sessions, while making clear to viewers that this changes the broadcast schedule and does not replace keeping your own recording. See YouTube’s archive guidance and DVR guidance for the platform’s current limitations.
Monetization is separate from permission
YouTube says live-stream monetization is available to creators in the YouTube Partner Program, but that does not guarantee channel approval or earnings. Monetization eligibility does not give you music rights, and the Creator Music revenue-sharing rules described above do not provide a live-stream license.

Troubleshoot common problems
YouTube does not accept the stream
Confirm live streaming is enabled, the channel meets eligibility requirements, and you copied the correct stream URL and key into the encoder. Check that the key has not been reset or exposed. For first-time enablement, allow up to 24 hours.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe preview is unstable or drops
Check that upload bandwidth exceeds the selected bitrate with YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom, then lower the output bitrate if the connection cannot sustain it. Check the encoder and network for interruption and restart the encoder if needed; a network disruption can break the stream.

The stream has audio, but a bhajan is interrupted
A third-party content match may have triggered YouTube’s live copyright controls. Review the notice in Live Control Room, confirm the rights for both the recording and composition, and contact the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting if you have a license. Do not simply restart with the same uncleared material.
Viewers cannot rewind or find a full replay
For sessions longer than 12 hours, limited or unavailable DVR and missing archives are known YouTube limitations. Keep your own recording and, if a YouTube replay is important, use shorter sessions rather than promising a complete archive.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo runs uploaded prerecorded videos as a YouTube live stream from the cloud: upload your bhajan recording or playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on; each slot streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. One free day is available per account with no card required. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. You still need the rights to the music you upload. Start the free day with StreamNeo.
