To run a 24/7 Hindi lofi stream from MP4 files, clear the rights to the music and visuals, make sure your YouTube channel can livestream, create an encoder-based broadcast in YouTube Studio, and send it from OBS or a cloud looping service. With OBS, the computer, power, internet connection, and encoder must stay running. A cloud service can handle playback and sending the stream, but neither option grants music rights or guarantees YouTube will never interrupt the broadcast.
Before you start: channel access and content rights
Check that your channel can livestream
YouTube’s current guidance requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions during the preceding 90 days. It also sets the minimum age for livestreaming at 16. Check your channel’s access in YouTube Studio before preparing a long broadcast; account-specific restrictions can prevent you from going live. YouTube’s live-streaming help has the current eligibility guidance.

Confirm rights to the music and visuals
Owning an MP4, buying a track, subscribing to a music library, or adding artist credit does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast the content publicly. Check that the license for every track and visual covers YouTube livestreaming, your intended territories, the broadcast term, monetization if applicable, and an archive if you plan to keep one. Resolve any Content ID requirements with the rights owner before going live.

YouTube advises creators who have licensed third-party content to ask its owner to add their channel to the Content ID allowlist. An archived stream may also receive a Content ID claim after it ends. Prepare the MP4 and loop
Check the whole file, not just the first minute
- Preview the full video and listen through the end. Check that the audio does not cut off abruptly, clip, or become silent, and that the picture behaves as intended.
- If you plan to loop one file, watch the transition from its ending back to its beginning. A hard visual or audio jump may be distracting; adjust the edit or use a playlist with smoother transitions if needed.
- Make sure the artwork or animation is also cleared for a public livestream. A still image can be used as the visual, but it does not change the rights requirements.
Choose a compatible format
YouTube lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1 video and AAC or MP3 audio for RTMP/RTMPS encoder streams. H.264 video with AAC audio is a practical compatibility choice, not a universal requirement to convert every MP4. YouTube’s encoder guidance is at Encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.
An MP4 you already have can be used as an OBS media source; OBS’s recording-container advice is a separate issue. OBS defaults to MKV for recordings because it can remain recoverable if recording is interrupted, while standard MP4 recordings need finalization. That does not mean you must convert an input MP4 before streaming. See OBS’s recording formats guide.

Set up a 24/7 stream with OBS
1. Create an encoder broadcast in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live.
- Choose the encoder-based streaming workflow in Live Control Room. Create or schedule the broadcast, then copy its stream destination and stream key.
- Keep the stream key private: treat it like a password. Anyone with access to it may be able to send video to your channel. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio.
YouTube lists encoders as a method for creators who want a richer video setup. Interface labels can change, so follow the current Live Control Room prompts if they differ from these.
2. Add and configure the MP4 in OBS
- In OBS, add a Media Source to a scene and select the Hindi lofi MP4. Enable looping if you are repeating one file. For multiple tracks or videos, build a playlist using the available media-source workflow and preview the transitions before broadcast.
- Set the canvas and output resolution to a quality your computer and upload connection can sustain. Match the frame rate to the material where practical; YouTube’s cited encoder guidance supports up to 60 fps.
- In OBS’s streaming settings, choose the YouTube service and enter the stream key, or configure the stream destination and key as the encoder prompts require. Use RTMPS where available.
- Use constant bitrate (CBR). YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe interval and says not to exceed four seconds. Its recommended video bitrate varies by resolution, frame rate, and codec; use the current table on YouTube’s encoder settings page rather than treating one bitrate as right for every stream.
- For stereo audio, YouTube lists 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps. Confirm OBS’s audio track is routed to the stream and that the meter moves while the MP4 plays.
3. Test before going public
- Start OBS and check the YouTube Live Control Room preview before beginning the public broadcast.
- Listen to the stream output, not just local computer audio. Confirm the correct track is audible, levels are not clipping, and there is no unwanted silence.
- Look for visible motion or the intended artwork, and make sure the stream does not freeze when the file loops or the playlist changes.
- Check YouTube’s stream-health status and warnings. A successful OBS connection alone does not confirm that viewers can receive a healthy stream.
- When the preview and health checks are satisfactory, use YouTube’s Live Control Room flow to go live. Continue checking stream health and policy warnings at intervals you can reliably maintain.
Keep the broadcast running
With a local OBS setup
The source video is read and sent by your computer. Keep the computer powered on, awake, connected to the internet, and running OBS for the broadcast’s duration. Disable sleep or automatic shutdown, keep the encoder scene and media source intact, and use a stable upload connection. A home power or network outage can stop the feed. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring; these cited platform and OBS sources do not establish automatic recovery by default for OBS.

Build an interactive digital signage display, art gallery or museum on-demand video player, or a Halloween special effect in just a few steps. Push-button and motion sensors sold separately.
- 【MEDIA FORMAT SUPPORT】 - Video: MP4, MKV, AVI, TS/TP, MOV, VOB, and M2TS files using H.265/HEVC, H.264/AVC, VC1, or MPEG2/4 codecs, up to 1920x1080p@60fps, 10-bit color, and 100mbps. Photos: JPG, JPEG, BMP, GIF (non-animated), PNG. Music: MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, APE, AAC
A 24/7 schedule is an intention, not a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Plan who will notice a stopped feed or a YouTube warning and what they will do to resolve it. If YouTube flags third-party content, simply restarting the encoder may not resolve the underlying rights issue.
Costs and trade-offs
- OBS: The cited sources do not establish a third-party encoder subscription cost. Your computer, electricity, internet connection, and any replacement hardware remain your responsibility.
- Cloud looping: The provider reads uploaded files and sends the stream from its cloud, so your home computer does not need to stay on. Check the service’s current features, storage, billing terms, and recovery details before relying on it.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for looping uploaded videos as a continuous live stream. Upload the Hindi lofi recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; it streams the files as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and advertises automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. That recovery is a provider-stated feature, not a guarantee that YouTube or the stream will remain uninterrupted. The first day is free with no card. Monthly service is $9.99 per month.

Troubleshoot common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube will not accept the stream | The channel may not meet current livestream access requirements, or the key or destination may be wrong. | Check channel verification and restrictions in YouTube Studio; confirm the current stream key and encoder destination. Reset a key that may have been exposed. |
| OBS connects but YouTube reports poor stream health | The upload connection may not sustain the configured bitrate, or the encoder settings may not match YouTube’s guidance. | Lower the bitrate to a level your connection can maintain; check YouTube’s current bitrate table, use CBR, and set a two-second keyframe interval without exceeding four seconds. |
| The picture appears but there is no music | The media source may not be playing, or its audio may not be routed to the stream. | Check the OBS audio meter during playback and listen to the Live Control Room preview. Confirm the selected media file has an audio track and that the scene sends it to the stream. |
| The stream is interrupted or replaced by a placeholder | YouTube may have detected third-party content. | Review Live Control Room warnings, verify the license covers livestreaming, and contact the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting. Do not assume a restart will clear a rights match. |
| The loop has a pause or abrupt jump | The source file may contain an ending gap, or the playlist transition may not be seamless. | Preview the full file and loop boundary; edit the transition or revise the playlist before relying on a long broadcast. |
| A local stream stops when nobody is present | The computer slept, lost power or internet, or OBS stopped. | Review sleep and shutdown settings, power, network stability, and whether OBS is still running. Arrange an appropriate monitoring and restart plan. |
Copyright, archives, and monetization
A continuous prerecorded broadcast is still a live transmission, but it is not a live musical performance. Rights for the live feed and its archive both matter. YouTube may place a Content ID claim on an archived stream after it ends, even if the live broadcast was not interrupted. Do not assume that a 24/7 stream is eligible for monetization or will earn revenue: the setup itself establishes neither YouTube Partner Program eligibility nor earnings. Review the current terms and your content rights before enabling monetization.
