First enable live streaming, prepare content you have permission to use, then connect an encoder to YouTube with the stream URL and key. A 24/7 schedule needs ongoing monitoring and a recovery plan; YouTube’s setup guidance does not guarantee uninterrupted broadcasting.
Before you plan the broadcast
Check that the channel can go live
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Enabling live streaming for the first time can take up to 24 hours, so enable it and confirm access well before your intended start. See YouTube’s live-streaming access requirements.

Use content you are authorized to broadcast
Prepare devotional audio, video, artwork, and any other material you have the necessary rights to use. A bhajan or other devotional recording being publicly available, credited, or religious in subject does not by itself grant permission to rebroadcast it. YouTube’s livestream terms make the provider responsible for obtaining necessary rights, including music licensing rights: YouTube Terms of Service.
Create the YouTube encoder stream

Open YouTube Studio and go to Live Control Room. Create a livestream or schedule one. YouTube’s encoder setup guide explains the available software and hardware encoder routes.

In the stream settings, copy the server URL and stream key. In OBS or your chosen encoder, open its streaming settings and enter the server URL and key in the corresponding fields. Treat the key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to broadcast to your channel.

Configure the encoder’s video and audio for the material and connection you will use. The cited YouTube setup material does not establish a universal resolution, bitrate, or keyframe interval for every devotional stream, so follow the current recommendations displayed for your selected YouTube stream settings and encoder rather than assuming one set of values fits all connections.

Start the encoder and wait for the incoming preview in Live Control Room. Check that the intended picture and sound are present. For a scheduled stream, use the Live Control Room’s Go live action after the preview arrives.

Set realistic expectations for a 24-hour broadcast
YouTube’s encoder guide says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume a single uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast will be saved as one complete archive. Decide in advance how you will handle archive expectations and any long-running stream interruptions.
Add Hindi and English titles and descriptions
Adding both languages to one title is not the same as publishing localized metadata. YouTube Studio lets you add translated titles and descriptions so viewers may see the appropriate language in search or on YouTube.

In YouTube Studio, open the relevant livestream or its video details. Set the original language if YouTube prompts you to do so.

Open the language or translations controls and add Hindi. In the Title and description area, enter the Hindi title and description, then publish the translation.

Add English in the same way, entering and publishing its title and description. If one language is the default metadata, make sure it is useful to viewers who do not see a translation.

Test reliability before relying on the stream
These checks reduce avoidable failures; they are not an uptime guarantee. YouTube recommends allowing roughly 20% upload-bandwidth headroom beyond the stream bitrate. Check the actual outbound upload capacity where the encoder will run, not just the advertised download speed. See YouTube’s streaming tips.

Open the watch page on a phone as well as on the computer used for setup. Confirm playback, audio levels, and the displayed title and description.

If recording locally, check that the recording file is actually growing and that its audio and video are usable.

Monitor audio and video during operation. For an unattended schedule, decide who will notice a failure and how they will respond; the cited YouTube guidance does not prescribe a particular playlist-looping or restart-automation method.
Understand copyright interruptions
YouTube scans live broadcasts for third-party content. If it detects content that may violate copyright, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn the creator; if the content continues, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. Even licensed material can be interrupted if its owner has not allowlisted the channel through Content ID. Review YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance, and arrange any needed rights and allowlisting before you depend on a recording for continuous programming.
Choose how to keep the stream running
A computer running an encoder is a straightforward do-it-yourself route if you can operate and monitor it. A dedicated computer is optional; YouTube’s encoder guidance does not prescribe a particular computer model or minimum hardware specification. YouTube also presents hardware and cloud encoding routes. Choose based on cost, operator skill, automation and recovery needs, and compatibility with your source material and stream workflow; the available guidance does not establish one category as best for 24/7 devotional programming.
