You can keep Assamese naam kirtan playing on YouTube around the clock by sending a playlist of rights-cleared recordings and visuals through an encoder, or by using a cloud playout service for prerecorded video. First enable live streaming on your verified channel, create a stream in YouTube Studio, connect its stream key, test the feed, and plan how to handle copyright checks and the replay archive.
Choose how to keep the stream running
For a do-it-yourself setup, a computer running an encoder such as OBS can send prerecorded kirtan continuously. YouTube lists OBS as free, open-source streaming software. This approach gives you direct control, but the computer, power, internet connection, and a monitoring plan must remain available.

For prerecorded video, YouTube also lists cloud tools intended for 24/7 streaming. Check each provider’s current supported formats, service terms, continuity arrangements, and price before relying on it. A listing by YouTube is not an endorsement.

Prepare the channel and program
Enable live streaming in advance
YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. Its current guidance says creators must be at least 16 to live stream. First-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours, so do this before announcing a launch. YouTube for Artists also advises enabling a first stream at least 24 hours ahead. See YouTube’s live-streaming requirements and YouTube for Artists’ live guidance.
Assemble recordings and visuals you are allowed to use
Prepare the Assamese naam recordings and a suitable visual. Keep a record of the relevant rights or permissions for each composition, arrangement, performance, sound recording, and visual. A devotional lyric or traditional melody is not automatically permission to rebroadcast a particular recording; rights depend on the specific material and territory.

Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Create the YouTube stream and connect OBS
- Open YouTube Studio and select Go Live. Choose the Stream workflow to create a stream, or open Manage to schedule one. Scheduling can provide a shareable watch page and reminders. Follow the current on-screen prompts in YouTube Studio.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key. In OBS, open Settings > Stream, select YouTube as the service, and enter or connect the stream credentials using the available workflow. Treat the key as a password: do not show it in the program image or share it publicly. YouTube’s setup guide is at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Build the program in OBS. Add the audio source or media playlist and the visual source. Check that playback advances as intended and that audio is present. If the visual is static or nearly static, a high frame rate may not be useful; test the actual program rather than choosing settings solely for their maximum values.
- Set output quality for a stable connection. YouTube recommends choosing quality that the available upload connection can sustain, testing before launch, and monitoring stream health. It recommends RTMPS, a secure form of RTMP. Its encoder guidance gives H.264 examples of 10 Mbps at 1080p/30 fps and 6 Mbps at 720p/60 fps. These are platform recommendations, not guarantees that your computer or connection can maintain them. See YouTube encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.
- Run an unlisted test. Send the same audio and visual behavior you intend to use live. Check the Studio preview, audio level, upload stability, and stream-health indicators before sharing the public watch page.
- Start output and confirm the broadcast. Start streaming from OBS, then check the Live Control Room preview and use YouTube Studio’s go-live control if prompted. Keep an operator or a practical monitoring plan to catch a stopped feed, muted audio, or a health warning.
Protect the stream from copyright interruptions
YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content, including material from another live broadcast. If it detects a match, it may replace the live picture with a placeholder and warn you to stop using the material; continuing can lead to interruption or termination. A copyright strike can also terminate a live stream. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

If you have a license for third-party material, ask the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license by itself may not prevent an interruption if the channel is not allowlisted. YouTube says Content ID claims on archived live streams are made after the stream ends if you archive it. YouTube for Artists recommends coordinating with a label or distributor when using copyright-protected music.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Plan for the replay archive
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its guidance does not promise an archive for a single session that runs longer than 12 hours. Do not assume one uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast will become a complete replay. If a full archive matters, decide whether periodic endings and restarts fit the channel’s needs, and check YouTube’s current archive guidance before settling on a schedule.
