To stop accidental touches while a video stays visible, use the video app’s playback lock—not your Samsung phone’s power button. In YouTube, open the player’s Settings and select Lock screen; to use the controls again, tap the video and choose Tap to unlock. Samsung Video Player may also offer a playback-lock control, depending on the phone and software.

Select Lock screen. The video remains visible while ordinary touches are blocked from operating the playback controls.

Check Samsung Video Player for a playback lock
If you are watching a video in Samsung Video Player, look on the playback screen for a lock icon or a control labeled Lock the playback screen. A Samsung Galaxy SM-A175F user guide documents that control, but this model-specific reference does not establish that every Galaxy phone has it or puts it in the same place. If you do not see the control, check the guide for your exact model and software version rather than assuming there is a universal Samsung menu path. The Galaxy SM-A175F user guide shows the documented label.

Why not turn off the display or use an accessibility overlay?
Pressing the phone’s power button turns off or locks the device display; it is different from locking only the video controls, and playback behavior can change. For a video you want to keep visible, begin with the player’s own lock.

Accessibility Input Control is not a dependable substitute for the YouTube player lock. A Samsung Members community report describes YouTube playback stopping in one setup when input control affected the foreground screen. That is an anecdotal, setup-specific report, not proof the feature always interrupts video, but it is a reason not to treat it as a universal fix. See the Samsung Members discussion.

In YouTube, confirm that Lock screen was selected from the video player’s Settings, not just that the video is playing.

In Samsung Video Player, verify that your specific model’s playback screen includes a lock control. The SM-A175F manual alone cannot confirm availability on other Galaxy models.
