JR Central will offer an original Evangelion voice drama, “Kansai Travel Plan,” to passengers on the Tokaido Shinkansen from October 18, 2026, through January 31, 2027. To listen, register a free account, open the campaign page while aboard, enable location and speed measurement, complete a questionnaire, and play the drama. Listeners can receive a ride certificate to exchange for an original acrylic keychain in Osaka.
What is the Evangelion Shinkansen audio drama?
“Kansai Travel Plan” is an original voice drama available as limited in-train content during JR Central’s Evangelion collaboration. In the story, Misato and Ritsuko go ahead to scout Kansai destinations while planning a school trip for Shinji, Rei, Asuka, Mari, and Kaworu. Kotono Mitsuishi voices Misato, and Yuriko Yamaguchi voices Ritsuko. The campaign runs alongside the Osaka presentation of the Evangelion 30th-anniversary exhibition “ALL OF EVANGELION.” JR Central’s official campaign page provides the participation details; Siliconera’s October 6, 2026 report describes the planned trip and characters.
