Larix Broadcaster supports background streaming on Android by default, so locking your Vivo screen should not, by itself, end a stream. Start the stream while the phone is unlocked, confirm it is live, then lock the screen. If it stops, check Larix’s background and battery permissions and Vivo’s power-management settings; exact labels vary by model and software version.
Start the stream before you lock the screen
- Open Larix Broadcaster and start your stream while the Vivo phone is unlocked.
- Confirm that the stream has connected and is live at its destination.
- Lock the screen and check from another device, if possible, that the stream continues.
Softvelum’s Larix FAQ says Android background streaming is available by default and continues until you explicitly close the app. That does not guarantee uninterrupted streaming under every phone configuration: Android and Vivo power controls can restrict background activity.

Check Larix’s background and battery access
Vivo’s settings vary by model and software version, so there is no single menu path that applies to every phone. Open Settings and use its search function for “Larix,” “battery,” or “background.” Look for Larix’s battery-use or background-use controls and allow background activity if your phone offers that option. Vivo’s support index identifies a “High background power consumption” control, but does not provide one universal path for all devices.

Android provides app-level battery modes: Unrestricted, Optimized (the default), and Restricted. Restricted mode prevents an app from running in the background, which can stop a locked-screen stream. Android’s exact settings screens can vary by device, and Vivo may apply additional manufacturer-specific controls.

In Settings, search for Larix or app battery usage, open Larix’s battery settings, and check which mode is selected. If it is Restricted, change it to a mode that permits background use and test the stream again. Android describes these modes in its background optimization documentation.
If the stream still ends
- Make sure Larix was not explicitly closed. Its FAQ says background streaming continues until the app is closed.
- Review power-saving controls. Temporarily allow Larix to run in the background, then test whether the stream survives screen lock. Settings and available controls differ across Vivo models.
- Check the connection. Weak mobile signal can disrupt a stream and increase battery use. Vivo also notes that long live-streaming sessions can consume substantial power; see its battery and standby guidance.
- Change one setting at a time and retest. This helps identify whether an app-level battery mode or a Vivo power control is causing the interruption.
If the relevant controls are missing or the stream remains unreliable, consult the manual or Vivo support for your specific model. Include the Vivo model, Android version, and Funtouch OS or OriginOS version when asking for help.

Battery life is a separate issue
A long stream can drain a phone even when Larix is allowed to run in the background. A compatible power bank may help if the phone’s battery capacity is the limiting factor, but it will not override Android or Vivo restrictions that stop the app from running.
