How to livestream a live ambient scene without a PC
Option 1: Use the YouTube mobile app

Option 2: Use a standalone encoder for a live input
YouTube recognizes encoders as a way to stream video from external hardware. A standalone encoder can avoid a computer when paired with a suitable live video source and network connection. Confirm that the specific encoder supports your camera or other input, YouTube streaming, and the unattended operation you need; the general encoder guidance does not establish that any particular model can loop prerecorded footage.
- In YouTube Studio, open Go live to reach Live Control Room, then create or select a stream.
- Copy the stream’s server URL and stream key from YouTube into the encoder’s streaming settings. Enter the URL in the server field and the key in the stream-key field.
- Connect the live source to the encoder, configure the stream in accordance with the encoder’s instructions, and check YouTube’s preview before starting.

Treat the stream key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your channel. Keep it private, and reset it in YouTube if it is exposed.

How to stream prerecorded ambient video without a computer
For an uploaded recording that should repeat continuously, use a cloud service that accepts prerecorded video and streams it to YouTube. YouTube’s encoder guide lists Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded video without a dedicated PC. Review its current features and terms directly before choosing it; no specific price or feature comparison is established here.

Set up the stream safely
- Confirm you have the rights needed to stream the video and audio. YouTube’s copyright and monetization rules still apply to ambient loops; a long or repetitive format does not exempt the content from them.
- Prepare the video or playlist and check that its duration, audio, and loop point suit continuous playback.
- In YouTube Live Control Room, create or select the stream and copy its server URL and stream key.
- Enter the key only in the cloud service you have chosen. Treat it as a password, and do not publish it or share it with viewers.
- Start the stream, then inspect YouTube’s preview and verify the picture and sound. Check the live broadcast after launch rather than assuming an unattended stream cannot fail.

Plan for YouTube’s archive limit
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its cited help pages do not establish that one uninterrupted stream longer than 12 hours will be archived in full. If you need a replay, do not rely on a 24/7 broadcast archive without testing the behavior on your channel and making a separate archive plan.

The encoder or cloud service cannot connect
Recheck that you copied the server URL and stream key for the selected YouTube stream, and that each is in the matching field. Make sure the stream is configured in Live Control Room and inspect the service’s connection status and YouTube preview. If the key may have been exposed, reset it and update the encoder or service.
The broadcast stops when left alone
For a phone or hardware encoder, check power, network stability, device temperature, and whether the app or device has stopped transmitting. For a cloud service, check its dashboard and YouTube’s Live Control Room to identify whether the sender or YouTube connection ended; then follow the service’s recovery steps.
The replay is missing or incomplete
Check the stream duration and the archive shown in YouTube Studio. YouTube identifies streams under 12 hours as automatically archived; do not assume a longer uninterrupted stream will produce a complete replay.
The picture or sound is poor
Inspect the YouTube preview and the source recording or camera feed. Check that the intended audio is present, the input is not obstructed or muted, and the network can sustain the stream. Make a test stream and adjust the source or encoder settings before a long broadcast.
