To put an existing YouTube playlist of real estate tours in alphabetical order, open it in YouTube’s playlist editor and drag each video into position by title. The official instructions reviewed document manual drag-and-drop for reordering an existing playlist, not a one-click A–Z command.
Arrange an existing playlist on a computer
- In YouTube Studio, select Content → Playlists.
- Find the real estate tour playlist, open its menu, and choose Edit on YouTube. This opens the playlist editor.
- Decide what alphabetical order means for your list. A practical default is the visible video title, A to Z. For tours with similar names, such as several properties on the same street, use the titles as they appear in the playlist and keep those entries together.
- Write a temporary checklist of the titles in the order you want. This is a useful way to keep track of a long playlist while moving entries; it is not a YouTube feature.
- Click and hold near a video thumbnail, then drag that entry up or down. Repeat until the visible order matches your checklist.
- Review the playlist’s saved view to confirm the order. YouTube’s watch-page playlist panel can also be rearranged temporarily; that does not change the playlist’s persistent order.
YouTube Studio’s documented playlist-creation flow includes an arrangement choice. Its instructions for changing the order of an existing playlist, however, specify dragging and dropping videos. The official pages reviewed do not describe an automatic A–Z command for existing playlists, so expect to arrange the entries manually unless your current interface offers another control.

Reorder videos on Android
- Open the playlist in the YouTube app.
- Tap and hold the two-line reorder handle beside a video.
- Drag the video up or down to its alphabetical position, then repeat for other entries.
- Check the playlist again to make sure the saved order is correct.
YouTube’s Android editing instructions describe this tap-and-hold method. Controls and availability may vary for supervised accounts or during interface rollouts.

Persistent playlist order versus temporary rearrangement
Use the playlist editor when you want the alphabetical order to be saved for the playlist. Rearranging entries in the watch-page playlist panel is described by YouTube as temporary, so it should not be treated as a lasting edit.
