The publisher explicitly presents shapeshifting as a way to investigate and influence relationships, not just a cosmetic change. It also specifically suggests becoming the Police Chief if you cannot get a vital clue as yourself. Treat that as a useful official tip, not a guarantee that it solves every blocked investigation.

It makes dialogue choices part of the investigation’s risk-and-reward loop: questions can uncover information, while choices can affect relationships and outcomes. The available official descriptions do not establish a universally safe order of questions or a guaranteed best sequence, so avoid treating a purportedly optimal script as reliable without a route-specific walkthrough.
Try different approaches when someone is cornered
The publisher describes “catalytic events” where pushing someone into a corner can lead to more than one reaction. That means a tense exchange may not be a simple two-outcome branch. If a conversation seems pivotal, explore alternate approaches when the game allows it instead of assuming one response is the only meaningful result.

Change into characters and revisit people or situations that may respond differently to the new identity. Shapeshifting is the confirmed route to secret conversations and private encounters, but the official material does not provide exact dialogue inputs or time-slot triggers. Pay attention to which identity you are using and what new access it creates; do not assume a particular conversation is guaranteed to appear at a specific point.

How do you catch the killer?
There is no single killer identity to memorize: according to the publisher, the murderer is chosen at random from three possibilities at the start of a playthrough. Choices can influence whether the killer is caught, whether victims are saved, and whether relationships are made or broken. Focus on gathering clues across identities and evaluating what your run actually reveals rather than carrying over a culprit answer from an earlier attempt.
The official descriptions confirm that outcomes vary, but they do not establish exact dialogue sequences that guarantee an ending, save a particular victim, or catch a specific killer. A route that claims to do so should be checked against a full walkthrough or a playthrough matching your circumstances; the game’s random killer selection makes unqualified, one-size-fits-all instructions especially suspect.

What can you learn from replaying?
Replay variation comes from both the randomly selected murderer and the consequences of choices. A new run can therefore change whom you suspect and how your decisions affect the investigation. To make a replay useful, compare what the same identity reveals across different circumstances and pay attention to changed reactions, rather than expecting every scene to repeat identically.

Is there an official tarot deck?
