SpaceX is publicly traded under the ticker SPCX. Its Class A shares began trading on June 12, 2026, on the Nasdaq Global Select Market and Nasdaq Texas, so investors can seek direct exposure through a brokerage account that supports the security in their jurisdiction. The IPO price of $135 per share was a dated offer price—not a current quote.
How to buy SpaceX shares directly
- Check that your brokerage account can trade SPCX in your country. Broker access and eligibility vary by jurisdiction; a brokerage list published around the IPO is historical, not a current directory.
- Search the broker’s trading interface for SPCX. Confirm that the result is SpaceX Class A common stock and review the current security details before placing an order.
- Check a live quote and the broker’s trading costs. The $135-per-share IPO offer price announced by SpaceX on June 11, 2026, is historical and should not be used as the current market price.
- Choose an order type and quantity that fit your plan, review the order preview, and submit only if the displayed terms are acceptable. Availability of order types and trading costs depends on the broker.
SpaceX announced an offering of 555,555,555 Class A shares at $135 each, with a 30-day underwriter option for up to 83,333,333 additional shares. The company later said the underwriters exercised that option in full. Those are offering-period details, not current share-count or price guidance. Direct shares versus funds with SpaceX exposure
Buying SPCX gives you direct ownership of the listed Class A security. A fund that holds SpaceX offers indirect exposure: you own fund shares, and your result also depends on the fund’s other holdings, structure, fees and portfolio changes. Confirm the fund’s current holdings and whether its SpaceX exposure is direct or indirect.

ARK Invest Europe reported that three actively managed UCITS ETFs participated in the IPO and held SpaceX as of June 12, 2026. Their reported weights, based on official NAV at that day’s market close, were:

Why an inverse SPCX fund is different
An inverse fund is designed for short exposure, not for buying SpaceX shares or holding a simple opposite position over any length of time. A 2026 SEC-filed summary prospectus describes a fund targeting -2X SPCX’s daily performance. Under normal circumstances, at least 80% of net assets plus investment borrowings are invested in swaps and options that together seek that daily inverse exposure; the adviser rebalances daily.

Because exposure resets each day, the result over more than one day can differ from -200% of SPCX’s cumulative return over the same period. Compounding, derivatives and the possibility of losses make this a specialized product that requires understanding its objective and prospectus. What to verify before investing
- Access: Whether your broker currently allows you to trade SPCX or the relevant fund in your jurisdiction.
- Security identity: That the instrument is the intended SpaceX Class A share or the intended fund, rather than a similarly named product.
- Current terms: A live market quote for a security, and the latest holdings, fees, liquidity and prospectus for a fund.
- Exposure: Whether you want direct ownership, indirect fund exposure or specialized daily inverse exposure; these routes are not interchangeable.
