A September 2026 report describes an in-app way to install OnePlus Phone (also called OnePlus Dialer): update to OxygenOS 16 with the August security patch, enter *#*#677776#*#* in Google Phone, then accept the restart prompt if it appears. The route is reported guidance, not a universally confirmed OnePlus installation feature; availability can differ by model, software build and region.
How to install OnePlus Dialer
The steps below are the procedure reported by 91mobiles on September 9, 2026. They were not independently tested, and OnePlus does not establish the code as a universally supported installation method.

- Check the update. The report specifies OxygenOS 16 with the August security patch. Update availability can vary by model, country and carrier, according to OnePlus’s OxygenOS 16 information.
- Open Google Phone and go to its dial pad.
- Enter
*#*#677776#*#*. If a prompt offers to restart the phone to install OnePlus Phone, accept it. - After the restart, look for OnePlus Phone and Contacts on the home screen or in the app drawer.
- Open OnePlus Phone and follow its prompt to choose it as the default calling app.
- Review and accept the app’s statement of use before using it.
If no installation prompt appears, stop there. The available information does not establish a reliable universal workaround; check current OnePlus support or software-update information for your device. Avoid downloading an APK from an unverified source.
Which OnePlus phones may be eligible?
The September 2026 report names the OnePlus 12, 12R, 11, 11R, Nord 4, Nord 3 and Nord CE 4, subject to the specified update. This is a report’s model list, not a guarantee for every regional variant or software build.

OnePlus’s OxygenOS 16 compatibility page includes the OnePlus 12, Nord 4 and Nord 3. That confirms listed operating-system compatibility; it does not by itself confirm that the dialer installation route will work. OnePlus says update timing varies by model, country and carrier. For model-specific questions, consult OnePlus’s software upgrade announcements.
Why availability can vary by region
OnePlus support says certain OnePlus Dialer functions are available only in countries or regions where the dialer is preinstalled. The OnePlus Community also contains user reports of different outcomes: some users describe the code appearing in the Google dialer, while others report that it does not, including on some EU or global devices. Those posts are anecdotal and do not provide a definitive region-by-region compatibility list.
Do you need to install an APK?
The reported method uses a code entered in Google Phone and does not ask the reader to sideload an APK. That does not make it a confirmed universal or official OnePlus feature: the route is reported by 91mobiles, and OnePlus’s published information does not establish that the code works across all models and markets. If the prompt is absent, use OnePlus’s current support and update information rather than an APK from an unverified source.

The 91mobiles guide describes call recording, AI call summaries, AI translation and full-screen contact images. These are feature descriptions, not a promise that every option is enabled on every phone or in every country. OnePlus’s OxygenOS 16 page says its “Hidden gem in OnePlus Dialer” requires a device with OnePlus Dialer preinstalled out of the box; OnePlus support also notes regional limits for certain functions. Feature availability therefore depends on the device and market.
