If text looks blurry or the display feels uncomfortable, start by centering the image with a better fit, then try only the adjustments available on your exact XREAL model. One Series glasses offer text-edge smoothing, brightness and color-temperature controls, IPD adjustment, and screen size and distance settings. These are troubleshooting options—not a guarantee against eye strain or a treatment for an eye condition.
Start with fit and alignment
A display that sits too high, low, or off-center can make the image harder to read. XREAL’s fitting guidance for the xbx a01 series says to check that the image is centered and the full display is visible, without noticeable cropping or shifting. Its frame has three vertical temple positions and S, M, and L nose pads. The tutorial says smaller pads position the glasses higher and larger pads lower.

Adjust the temples and nose pads gradually until the screen is fully in view and the glasses feel comfortable; do not force a fit that causes pressure. See XREAL’s xbx a01 fit guidance. Fit features can vary by model.

Make text easier to read on One Series
On XREAL One Series glasses, double-click the X button to open the on-screen display (OSD), then select Display and Text Optimization. XREAL says the feature smooths jagged text edges and offers levels from no enhancement to stronger smoothing. Try a level and judge the result with the text you actually use; XREAL does not promise a particular improvement for every viewer.

The same Display menu includes color-temperature and brightness controls. XREAL recommends lowering brightness and choosing a warmer tone in low-light environments. Change one setting at a time so you can tell whether it helps. Details are in the One Series display-settings tutorial.
Adjust IPD when the image is doubled or incomplete
For One Series, XREAL recommends trying the OSD’s IPD adjustment if the screen looks incomplete, you see double vision, or image edges are unclear. The adjustment has 13 levels, with each step changing IPD by 1 mm around the model’s center. XREAL’s One Series guide advises checking that your measured IPD is within the range for your particular glasses, then adjusting until the edges are clear and the full display is visible. XREAL identifies IPD mismatch as one possible cause of blurry or incomplete images and eye strain on One Series. This is manufacturer troubleshooting guidance, not a diagnosis; persistent double vision or discomfort should not be treated as a settings problem alone.
Experiment with screen size and distance on One Series
The One Series OSD also includes screen-size and screen-distance settings. XREAL describes distance adjustment as moving the virtual screen closer or farther away. Try small changes to find a position that is comfortable to view, using the OSD overview for the available controls. These settings are options to experiment with, not proven methods to prevent or treat eye strain.

Check prescription correction for your exact model
If you need vision correction, verify compatibility before ordering lenses or an insert. XREAL documents dedicated prescription lenses for xbx a01+ and provides a supported prescription range on its prescription-lens tutorial. That range applies to xbx a01+ only; do not assume it fits another XREAL model.
The XREAL Air manual instead says users can ask a local optician to fit prescription lenses to the supplied frame, or use prescription contact lenses if fitted lenses are unavailable locally. Check the exact glasses model and lens/frame compatibility with XREAL or an optician before buying; the Air manual covers that model’s guidance.

Match brightness to the room and take discomfort seriously
The XREAL Air manual advises adjusting display brightness to minimize the brightness difference between the display and its surroundings. It also says to stop using the glasses immediately if you experience eye strain or dizziness. These are Air-specific instructions; check the manual for your own model rather than assuming identical guidance applies across the range.

The same FAQ says text may become slightly less clear at 240 Hz because of image-processing algorithms. That refresh-rate caveat and break interval are R1-specific, not general XREAL guidance.

What these adjustments can—and cannot—establish
XREAL’s documentation provides model-specific ways to change fit and display settings, but it does not establish that those changes reduce eye strain by a measured amount or work equally well for everyone. The available product specifications also do not establish that one One Series model is more comfortable or clearer than another. Choose settings and accessories based on the controls and compatibility documented for your glasses, and stop using them if discomfort occurs.
