Use Power Saving for everyday conservation and Super Power Saving when the battery is very low, and avoid heat and long stretches of high-drain use. The exact ColorOS menus vary by software version and market, and no setting guarantees a fixed number of extra hours.
1. Find what is using the battery
- Open Settings > Battery (or the equivalent menu on your ColorOS version) and review battery usage or consumption details.
- If an app is using an unexpectedly large share, update it first. If the drain continues, limit its background activity or restrict it if you can accept delayed notifications and other background functions.
- To check your software version, open Settings > About Phone or About Device. Menu names and available controls may differ by build; OPPO’s power-saving guidance describes the general app and consumption controls.
2. Reduce display power demand
- Lower screen brightness, or use automatic brightness if it works well for you.
- Shorten the screen timeout so the display turns off sooner when idle. Google includes lower brightness and a shorter timeout among its Android battery-saving recommendations.
- If your phone offers a refresh-rate choice, select a lower setting when battery life matters more than the smoothest scrolling. OPPO’s Denmark and Thailand specification pages list adaptive 60/90/120 Hz refresh rates for their respective regional versions. The available choices on your own phone depend on its software build.
3. Choose the right power-saving mode

4. Cut back on sustained high-drain activities when runtime matters
Long sessions of GPS navigation, hotspot use, video or music streaming, camera use, and graphics-heavy gaming can consume substantial power. If you need to stretch the current charge, shorten these sessions or take breaks between them. These are situational trade-offs, not activities you need to avoid in normal use; the power draw varies with conditions.

5. Keep the phone cool
Avoid leaving the phone in hot places, especially while it is charging or already fully charged. Google warns that a hot phone can drain faster even when idle and that heat can damage the battery. There is no need to routinely discharge the phone completely to “calibrate” it: Google says, “You don’t need to teach your phone the battery’s capacity by going from full charge to zero, or zero to full.” Read Google’s battery guidance.
6. Check regional specifications before comparing battery claims
OPPO’s official pages identify model CPH2931 in both Denmark and Thailand, but list different battery and charging figures. Treat these as market-specific specifications, not universal values for every OPPO A7 Pro 5G:

These differences mean the local product page and the phone’s market or SKU matter when checking capacity or charging compatibility. Charging wattage describes how quickly a compatible setup can refill the battery; it does not show how long the phone will last per charge.

If unusually fast drain persists after checking apps and settings, charging is inconsistent, or the phone no longer lasts through the day, ask OPPO regional support or an authorized service location to assess the battery.
