For the current main line, that means Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge. The CurseForge download is a bundle of server files, not a ready-to-start server: you must select a compatible Forge installation, replace the host’s default files with the extracted pack, and have every player install the identical client pack. If you use Lost Cities, generate that world with Lost Cities enabled before uploading it as world.

What Zeefski Jujutsu Kaisen Craft actually is
Zeefski Jujutsu Kaisen Craft is a Forge modpack built around Jujutsu Craft (Sorcery Fight). The pack is designed for multiplayer adventure and combat rather than vanilla survival alone. CurseForge lists Zeefski as the author and currently shows Minecraft versions 1.20.1 and 1.16.5, with 1.20.1 serving as the current main line. The project page reported 1,980,865 total downloads when accessed in 2026; that counter is a changing page metric, not a permanent popularity figure.

Choose the Minecraft and Forge version before doing anything else
Use one version combination for everyone. For a new installation, the practical choice is the pack’s 1.20.1 line with Forge. The older 1.16.5 listing should be used only when every player and the server are deliberately staying on that release.
| Pack line | Loader | When to use it | Compatibility rule |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minecraft 1.20.1 | Forge | Current main line identified on the project page | Install the same 1.20.1 pack release and matching Forge setup on the server and every client |
| Minecraft 1.16.5 | Forge | Older project line | Do not mix 1.16.5 clients or mods with a 1.20.1 server |
Before renting a server, verify that the provider allows a custom Forge installation for the exact Minecraft version you selected. A panel that supports vanilla Minecraft but does not permit custom Forge files is not suitable for this pack.

Self-managed Forge server
With a self-managed server, you rent or operate a Java server, upload the server-pack files yourself, and maintain updates, backups and troubleshooting. This approach gives you direct file access and avoids being tied to a provider’s one-click catalog, but you are responsible for selecting the right JAR type and preserving the directory structure during uploads.
Managed Minecraft host
A managed host supplies a control panel and usually handles the basic server process, storage and network layer. You still need to select the right modpack release and ensure clients match, but file-management work is reduced. The trade-off is a recurring fee and dependence on the host’s supported versions, panel and backup policy. A pre-installed option is convenient only if it exposes the files and Forge version you need.

The official server-pack uploader, Zeefski, makes the distinction explicit: “NEW SERVERPACK!!! THIS IS MEANT FOR SERVER HOSTS IT ISNT A SERVER (u can literally use essential if u want free multiplayer).” In other words, the ZIP is input for a server installation; it is not an executable service.
Requirements checklist
- A Minecraft Java server that permits a custom Forge installation.
- The same Minecraft release selected for all clients and the server; use 1.20.1 for the current main line unless your group has a reason to stay on 1.16.5.
- The official server-pack ZIP, currently shown as
ZJJK_2.4server-pack.zipor whatever newer server-pack filename appears on the CurseForge project page. - Enough allocated memory for the number of players and any optional additions. Published RAM figures are planning guidance, not an official minimum.
- File access through the host panel, FTP or another upload method that can preserve folders and large files.
- A local copy of the original ZIP and a separate backup of the live server before updates or add-on changes.
Manual installation: upload the official server pack to Forge
The following sequence applies to a conventional host panel. Labels differ between providers, but the order matters.
- Provision the Java server. Create or rent a Minecraft Java instance that supports custom Forge files. Do not start with a vanilla-only template if the panel cannot later switch loaders.
- Select the client’s Minecraft release. For the current pack line, choose Minecraft 1.20.1. If your group intentionally uses 1.16.5, select that release instead and keep it consistent throughout.
- Download the server pack. From the official CurseForge project page, download
ZJJK_2.4server-pack.zip, or the current server-pack ZIP displayed there. Save the untouched ZIP locally so you can rebuild the installation if an upload is damaged. - Extract the ZIP on your computer. Unzip all contents into a temporary folder. Upload the extracted files, not merely the ZIP file, unless your host specifically provides an import function for this pack.
- Change the server JAR type. In the host panel, select the custom Forge 1.17+ JAR type. This is the loader choice required by the supplied installation procedure; a vanilla JAR will not load the pack’s Forge mods.
- Stop and clear the new server. Stop the instance completely, then delete the existing server contents as directed by the host’s panel. This prevents default files from being mixed with the pack’s files. Preserve any backup you made before deleting.
- Upload the extracted pack. Upload every extracted server-pack file and folder to the server’s main directory. Check that the upload completed rather than leaving partial folders or nested paths such as
/server-pack/server-pack/. - Start once and wait. Start the server and allow Forge to generate its files. The first launch can take longer while libraries, configuration files and world data are prepared. Stop and inspect the logs if the process exits instead of completing startup.
- Install the matching client pack. Every player must install the same Zeefski pack release, Minecraft version and Forge combination before connecting. A player using a different release should update or roll back rather than trying to join with a partial mod set.
The server-pack upload does not automatically install the client-side pack for players. Distribute the exact project version your server uses and record it somewhere your group can check when troubleshooting.
Set up a Lost Cities world correctly
Lost Cities is not enabled retroactively by simply copying a configuration file into an existing world. The supported workflow is to generate the world in single-player with Lost Cities enabled, then upload that generated folder to the server.
Rank #3
- CREATE YOUR WORLD — Build whatever you imagine in an infinite world that is unique in every playthrough.
- EXPLORE AND CRAFT — Discover biomes, resources, and mobs, then craft your way through a sandbox world full of surprises.
- SURVIVAL ADVENTURES — Face mysterious foes, travel across varied landscapes, and venture into perilous dimensions.
- PLAY TOGETHER — Play solo or join friends in local split-screen and cross-platform play across console, mobile, and PC. Online multiplayer supports up to 8 players.
- COMMUNITY PLAY — Connect with players on community servers, or subscribe to Realms Plus (sold separately) to play with up to 10 friends on a private server.
- Install the matching client pack and launch single-player on the same Minecraft and Forge version as the server.
- Create a new world with the Lost Cities world option enabled.
- Exit the game after the world has generated completely.
- Locate the complete generated world folder, including its region, data and configuration subfolders.
- Stop the server before uploading.
- Upload the generated folder to the server and name the folder exactly
world. Replace or remove the server’s existing world only after taking a backup. - Start the server and confirm that it loads the uploaded world rather than generating a fresh default world.
If the same Lost Cities setup works in single-player but the server creates an ordinary world, the first checks are the folder name and the completeness of the upload. A name other than world, an extra nesting level, or missing region files can make the server ignore the intended map.
How much RAM does the server need?
The official Zeefski project page does not publish a universal RAM minimum. DedicatedMinecraft’s 2026 guidance is useful for planning, but it is one provider’s recommendation rather than a requirement established by the modpack author.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors| Expected group size | DedicatedMinecraft planning figure | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Small group | 6–8 GB RAM | Starting guidance for a modest player count; monitor performance rather than treating it as a guaranteed minimum |
| 10 or more players | 10–12 GB RAM | Higher allocation recommended as concurrent players and loaded chunks increase |
| 15 or more players | 12–16 GB RAM | Planning range for a larger group; extra mods or plugins can raise the requirement |
RAM alone does not determine a smooth server. Compare the host’s actual allocated memory, CPU performance, SSD storage, backup tools, file access, support response and data-center location. “Unlimited RAM” wording is not a substitute for a stated hardware allocation. Additional mods and plugins also increase resource needs, and their compatibility with this pack is not guaranteed.
Start with the smallest allocation that fits your group and observe startup time, crashes and in-game responsiveness. If the server repeatedly runs out of memory or becomes unstable as players explore new areas, increase the allocation or reduce optional additions before assuming the pack itself is defective.

What to compare when choosing a managed host
- Forge support: Confirm that custom Forge 1.20.1 (or your chosen line) is permitted, not just a vanilla or Fabric template.
- Actual memory allocation: Look for a numeric RAM allocation and the CPU model or performance tier, not only marketing labels.
- Storage: SSD storage helps with world saves and chunk generation; verify the amount and whether backups consume the same quota.
- File access: FTP or a capable file manager is important for uploading the server pack, replacing the
worldfolder and installing updates. - Backups: Check whether backups are automatic, how many are retained and whether you can download one before a major change.
- Location and support: A nearby data center can reduce latency. Support should be able to address custom Forge files rather than only vanilla server templates.
- Version control: Ensure you can choose the exact pack release instead of being forced onto an untested one-click update.
Managed-host examples and current advertised prices
The following are page claims observed in 2026, so confirm availability, inclusions and pricing before ordering. They are examples of hosting models, not official Zeefski requirements.
| Provider | Advertised offering | Price shown when accessed | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| ZAP-Hosting | Jujutsu Kaisen Craft hosting with web-interface management, DDoS protection and FTP access | $3.15 per month | Price and availability can change; confirm the exact Zeefski release and Forge controls |
| MintServers | Pre-installed Zeefski Jujutsu Kaisen Craft for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge | $9.99 per month | The price is a current page claim that requires rechecking; verify RAM, backups and file access |
| VeryGames | Panel workflow: create an installation, select Zeefski Jujutsu Kaisen Craft, choose a version, then create the server | Not stated | Confirm regional availability, resources and whether the required release is selectable |
A pre-installed listing can save time, but it does not remove the matching-version rule. Ask the host which Forge build and pack release the template installs, where the files are stored, and how to upload a Lost Cities world before you pay.
Updating the pack without destroying the world
Modpack updates can change configuration files, mods and world behavior. Treat an update as a controlled migration rather than replacing files while the server is running.
- Tell players to stop joining and stop the server cleanly.
- Download the new official server-pack ZIP and retain the old ZIP.
- Create a complete backup of the server directory, including the
worldfolder and configuration files. - Compare the new pack’s Minecraft and Forge requirements with the client release you intend to distribute.
- Upload the new extracted files using the host’s documented replacement process; do not mix old and new mod versions casually.
- Start the server once, review the log for missing or incompatible mods, and test entry with one matching client before inviting the whole group.
- Keep the backup until players have confirmed that the world loads and essential gameplay works.
Optional add-ons should be introduced one at a time and only after a backup. The pack description identifies additional mods as optional, but compatibility is not guaranteed; adding several at once makes it difficult to identify which change caused a crash or an incompatible-mod error.
Best Value
- Play and share with friends on console, mobile and Windows 10

- access new mini games and game modes through servers
Troubleshooting common failures
“Incompatible mod list” or a client kicked during login
Compare the exact client and server pack versions first. Then compare Minecraft and Forge versions and the installed mod files. A player who installed a newer client pack while the server still runs the previous release will normally fail the handshake. Correct the mismatch on one side; do not remove random mods from the client to force a connection.
The server exits during startup
Check three common causes: the panel is still using a vanilla or incorrect JAR type, the ZIP was not fully extracted, or one or more files were not uploaded. Set the JAR type to custom Forge 1.17+, verify that the extracted files are in the server’s main directory, and inspect the startup log after a clean restart.
The server starts but players see a different world
For Lost Cities, stop the server and verify that the generated single-player folder was uploaded completely and named exactly world. An extra parent folder, a misspelled name or a partial FTP transfer can cause the server to generate or load another world. Restore the intended folder from your backup if necessary.
New add-on causes crashes or missing-mod errors
Stop the server, restore the most recent backup, and remove the newest add-on. Reintroduce changes one at a time only after confirming that the base pack works. Optional does not mean universally compatible: a mod that works with another Forge pack or Minecraft version may still conflict here.
Players report lag after expanding the group
Check allocated RAM and CPU performance against the number of concurrent players and the amount of new terrain being generated. DedicatedMinecraft’s 6–8 GB, 10–12 GB and 12–16 GB figures are planning ranges for progressively larger groups, not guarantees. Also check whether optional mods or plugins were added and whether the host is throttling CPU or storage.
A practical launch checklist
- Everyone has the same Zeefski pack release.
- The server and clients use the same Minecraft version and Forge combination.
- The server panel is set to custom Forge 1.17+ rather than vanilla.
- The extracted server-pack files are uploaded to the correct root directory.
- The original ZIP is stored locally for recovery.
- A complete server backup exists before the first public connection and before every update.
- If using Lost Cities, the generated folder is complete and named
world. - Any optional add-on was tested separately after a backup.
- The host’s RAM, CPU, SSD, location, backups and file-access terms match the group’s needs.
Bottom line
Host Zeefski Jujutsu Kaisen Craft as a Forge server, not as a ZIP file. For a new deployment, match Minecraft 1.20.1 and Forge on every client and the server, extract the official server pack, select custom Forge 1.17+, clear the default server files, upload the extracted bundle and let Forge complete its first startup. Generate Lost Cities worlds before uploading them as world. Plan RAM from your player count—using published host guidance as a starting point rather than an official minimum—and keep backups before updates or add-ons. Managed hosting can remove much of the file work, but you still need version control and a provider that exposes the Forge and file-management options this pack requires.
