This asks your mobile network to withhold your caller ID from people you call; carrier and country restrictions can prevent it from working.
Turn off caller ID in the Samsung Phone app
- Open the Samsung Phone app.
- Tap More options, shown as three dots.
- Tap Settings.
- Open Supplementary services.
- Tap Show your caller ID.
- Choose Never.
On a dual-SIM phone, the caller ID control may be associated with a particular SIM. Check that you are changing the setting for the SIM used to place your calls.

What the caller ID options mean
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Never | Requests that your number not be shown on outgoing voice calls. |
| Network default | Leaves the caller ID display decision to your mobile network operator. |
| Always | Displays your caller ID on outgoing calls. |
These options control recipient-facing caller ID; they do not make a call anonymous to your carrier or other systems. Samsung’s instructions describe whether your number or name is visible to the person receiving the call, not whether the network can identify you.
If the menu labels are different or missing
Samsung menu names vary with device and Android version. In the Phone app’s settings, look for Call settings, More, or More settings if you do not see Supplementary services. On older software, the option may be called Show my caller ID. For example, a Galaxy Note9 running Android 8.1 uses Phone > menu > Settings > More settings > Show my caller ID.
