Check whether it is still available
Shop cosmetics are time-limited. Epic’s item page displays an availability deadline of October 23, 2026, at 12:00 AM in the GMT+00:00 context. That timestamp can change with shop updates, regional display differences, or a listing being removed, so check the countdown shown inside Fortnite before buying.
- Open the Item Shop and look for the live countdown on the Fancy Ragdoll tile or item page.
- Confirm the price shown in your own shop before approving the purchase.
- If the item is absent, wait for a future shop rotation rather than assuming the displayed web deadline guarantees continued access.
Customize the cat before locking it
Fancy Ragdoll lets you choose from several coat patterns, colors and other available appearance options. Make those selections during the purchase customization flow, then review the preview carefully.
- Choose the coat pattern you want.
- Select the available color and any other appearance settings shown.
- Preview the result in the customization screen.
- Lock in the appearance only after you are satisfied.
Epic states that the appearance choice becomes permanent after the one customization is locked. Treat the confirmation as final: do not confirm until the pattern and color are correct.

What Sidekicks can and cannot do
Fancy Ragdoll is a cosmetic companion rather than a combat or scouting tool. Sidekicks react to the world around you, but they do not detect enemies or items.
In Battle Royale, you can see only your team’s Sidekicks. Visibility can vary in other Fortnite experiences, so opponents may not see the companion in the same way. The available information does not establish gameplay advantages between Fancy Ragdoll and other Sidekicks.

The item is missing from the shop
Check the shop’s current timer and refresh Fortnite if the storefront has not updated. If Fancy Ragdoll is no longer listed, its shop window has ended and you will need to watch for a later rotation.

You do not have enough V-Bucks
The purchase requires 1,200 V-Bucks. Add enough currency to the account before returning to the listing, then verify the final total on the confirmation screen.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsYou want to change the appearance later
Make the decision before locking the customization. Epic says the selected appearance is permanent after that one customization, so a later color or coat-pattern change is not established as available.
Quick answer
Open Fortnite’s Item Shop, buy Fancy Ragdoll for 1,200 V-Bucks while it is listed, customize the coat before confirming, and equip it from the Locker. Check the in-game timer because availability is temporary, and remember that the Sidekick cannot detect enemies or items.
