The reported objectives are catching 20 Common Fish, collecting one Reaper Scroll, dealing 12,000 damage with fist M1 light attacks, and defeating Reaper Trainee Kuzan. The walkthrough reports the reward as Reaping Blades, 3,800 EXP, and 1,620 Wen. These details come from secondary guides, so check the live quest UI if an objective differs.
Where to start The Reaper’s Trial
Travel to the snowy Iceveil region and find Harvester of Souls Zurinyz. One walkthrough describes heading from the portal through a tunnel toward a settlement, then looking near a house beyond the campfire. Speak to Zurinyz to begin the trial. The route and quest details are reported in NerdsChalk’s Reaping Blades walkthrough; a second guide also lists the main prerequisites in its Project Slayers 2 Reaping Blades guide.

The walkthrough mentions an Emberheart Lantern as optional preparation for traveling in the cold. It also describes a 45,000 Wen fast-travel unlock at Frost Veil Shrine, but that is separate from the trial and not listed as a requirement.

How to complete each objective
Catch 20 Common Fish
The walkthrough points to Bamboo Grove Sanctuary as a fishing location. If you do not have a fishing rod, it describes first completing a permit errand and buying a rod at Mistfall Harbor. The rod is an in-game item; no external equipment is needed for this objective. Follow the quest UI’s fish count to confirm progress.
Collect a Reaper Scroll
Look near the lake and small wooden bridge along the road to Bamboo Grove Sanctuary. That is the search area identified by the walkthrough. If the item is not there, use the live quest UI and explore the surrounding route rather than assuming the guide’s location is still exact.

Deal 12,000 damage with fist M1 attacks
Equip fists and use the light-attack input (M1) until the counter reaches 12,000. The guide says damage accumulates across fights, so it does not need to come from one enemy. It names bosses and bears as possible targets. Confirm that the quest counter rises while using fists; other weapons or attack types may not count toward this specific objective.

Return to the snowy settlement and follow the cave approach to reach Reaper Trainee Kuzan, according to the walkthrough. Prepare for a combat encounter, defeat the trainee, and check Zurinyz’s trial status afterward to see whether all objectives registered.

What you get—and what Reaping Blades means
The walkthrough reports the reward as the Reaping Blades fighting style, 3,800 EXP, and 1,620 Wen. Those exact amounts appear in that guide; the second guide corroborates the core requirements but does not provide the reward figures. Treat the amounts as reported in-game rewards, not as independently confirmed values.
Reaping Blades is a fighting style, not the similarly named Reaper Blood Demon Art. They have separate unlock paths. The equipment guide also says a character can hold only one fighting style at a time, so unlocking Reaping Blades is a loadout or mastery choice rather than a way to stack another style alongside the one already held.
