Remove Play-Doh from clothes and washable fabric

Hasbro’s official fabric-cleaning instructions, published and updated June 5, 2023, warn: “When attempting to remove Play-Doh compound do NOT use hot water or cleaning solutions of any kind.” Its Creativity Table instruction sheet also gives the dry, stiff-brush, vacuum, and gentle-soap/cold-water sequence for carpet and fabrics.

Hasbro’s published guidance covers carpet, upholstery, and fabric—not human hair. It therefore does not establish a hair-removal technique. Avoid treating the carpet-and-fabric steps as validated for hair or assuming that a particular oil, solvent, comb, hot-water method, or cutting approach is supported by these sources.
