A season or episode has entered the catalog
This is the event people usually mean when they want to know that they can watch now. It can differ from the advertised premiere date because availability depends on country, provider and whether a release is split into batches. A title-tracking service is better suited to this event.
A scheduled broadcast or episode date
Calendar and email tools can remind you that an episode is scheduled. That does not necessarily prove that a streaming catalog has already added a complete season. Treat scheduled-air-date alerts and catalog-availability alerts as separate systems.

Set a Netflix title reminder
Netflix documents Remind Me for some titles that have a future release date. It is a title-level reminder, not a universal switch for every series on the service.
- Open Netflix and find the series or film that shows a future release date.
- Open the title’s detail page.
- Select Remind Me. If that control is not shown, Netflix has not exposed a reminder for that title in your current context.
- Check that the title has been added to My List, where Netflix says the reminder will also appear.
- When the title becomes available, check your Netflix notifications and the email address on the account.
According to Netflix Help Center, a reminded title may produce a Netflix notification or email when it is available. Netflix also warns that release dates can move because of production delays or licensing contracts. Keep the reminder, but treat the displayed date as changeable rather than as a guarantee.
When Netflix Remind Me is the right tool
- Use it when Netflix itself has announced a future date.
- Use it when you want an in-service reminder and already watch the title on Netflix.
- Do not rely on it to monitor every show, every provider or unannounced surprise release.
Track a show in JustWatch for availability alerts
JustWatch’s documented tracking workflow is the closest match to “tell me when the next season is actually available.” Its support page states: “When a new season or episode becomes available, you will be notified via push notification (this needs to be enabled in your phone settings).”
- Open JustWatch and search for the TV show.
- Open the show’s detail page rather than a search-result preview.

- Open your phone’s system settings and enable notifications for the JustWatch app. On current phones this is under the app’s notification settings; the exact wording differs between iOS and Android.
- Leave the show tracked. When JustWatch records a new season or episode as available, its documented channel is a push notification.
