- Choose a run that satisfies the condition while also completing a stage you need for another objective.
- Reopen the panel after the match and verify that progress increased.

A task can be complete without paying automatically. If the counter reaches its target but the balance does not change, look for a claim button, a completed-task tab, or a reward mailbox in the same interface.
4. Claim level-up rewards from the Grand Elder

If a calendar shows a streak, follow the game’s displayed rule rather than an outside reset-time claim. Different updates can change when a new day begins or how missed days are handled.
6. Check Infinite Mode, but verify the live chart
An ASTD X Infinite Mode result describes an endless-wave mode and displays a gem reward chart. The current chart and its conditions could not be verified, so do not quote a wave number, payout, or “best” stopping point from an old image or snippet. Open Infinite Mode and read the reward information attached to your current version.
Before starting, look for whether the reward is tied to reaching a wave, dealing damage, surviving for a duration, or claiming a completed milestone. Search results for the original All Star Tower Defense point to tasks, Story Mode, Infinite Mode, Tower Mode, and daily rewards. These are version-specific leads, not a confirmed current reward table. If your lobby is the original ASTD, open each corresponding panel and follow the reward text shown by your build.
Tasks

- Stack compatible goals. Pick a stage or mode that satisfies more than one visible objective. Confirm compatibility in the wording; “complete a stage” and “deal damage in Infinite Mode” are not interchangeable.

- Use reliable clears. A slightly longer run that you can finish consistently is safer than abandoning an uncertain high-difficulty attempt before its result screen.

Troubleshooting missing or delayed gems
The task shows complete, but no gems appeared

A stage clear did not advance a task

The AFK Portal timer finished without a payout
Check whether the portal requires a manual claim, has a storage cap, or was actually active for the displayed interval. If the current panel does not mention gems, do not infer that it owes a gem reward from an outside guide.
A level-up reward is missing in ASTD X
Visit the Grand Elder and inspect every milestone tab. Leveling up may unlock a reward without automatically collecting it. If the NPC shows no eligible milestone, the level may not correspond to a gem reward in the current version.
